Bio Photo The internments I have listed here are generally from my own family research (except those from requests). Whenever I go to a cemetery, I often photograph other stones (as time permits) and post them along with my family stones. I know from personal experience that stones disappear and small cemeteries are destroyed in the span of a few years. Photograph and record as many as you can for future researchers.

RE: Ruebin Hartley
Ann (newsome) hartley is 135289155

Andrew J. Hartley is 135289344

Thank you Ruebin would have been a great uncle of mine as Andrews son William is my great grandfather

Are you related? If not I would be glad to have you transfer the profiles over to me.

Rueben Hartley
You might want to check this profile. This Rueben was Andrew J Hartley's son not William Hartley. You will notice you have William born 1840 and Rueben born 1845. That is because they are brothers both sons of Andrew J. and Ann (Newsome) Hartley.

reply- So Sorry!
I thought that didn't sound right, because his son was born & died in Barry Co. I googled Pierce City, MO and it says this city is in Lawrence & Barry Counties. So it probably should be Pierce City, Lawrence County, MO.

Thanks for catching this. I want to be as accurate as possible.

there are two field stones next to James' headstone. I believe that those are their graves.

Henry H. Holstine
From the information that I have Henry was born in Botentourt Co. VA 4 Aug 1817. He married Martha Dillion (b. 2 Jul 1820) 29 Nov 1842. They died in MO and are buried in the Ellison Cemetery (I believe) next to James Ambrose.

James Ambrose Holstine
Nancy Lucinda b.26 Sep 1881 d. after May 1905 before 1910 (in childbirth we have been told) - m. Sam Levins 20 Sep 1900

Sarah Jane b. 14 Feb 1870 d. 22 Dec 1938 - m. Albert Goss 8 May 1887 (he d. 17 Oct 1931)

It is believed that Nancy Lucinda is buried in the Jackson Cemetery. There is no stone and the cemetery is in bad shape. The man who owns(ed) the land did not care for it and it is likely nearly gone now except for the stones that survive on the ground.

Sam Levins, Sara and Albert Goss are buried in the Bartlett Cemetery.

I am the great grandson of Catherine Tatum and James Ambros' son Elish Benjamin Holstine.

I have quite a lot of information on the family. If you would like more please let me know.

James Ambrose Holstine

I would be curious to know your connection to James. I am the great grandson of his son, Elijah Benjamin Holstine.
