I don' t know if you remember but a few years ago you found the gravesite of my great grandfather Henry George Cooper. This past weekend I was able to get up to the Champlain area and of course sought out the graves of my Cooper ancestors. I could not find Henry's stone and to my dismay I found an area outside of the fence of the cemetery where gravestones have either been piled among brush, mud etc or were allowed to just topple over and natures taking it's course. Needless to say I was very sad. I was able to dig around and clear out some of the debris, but really the area needs so much work was not prepared for. There seems to be some construction going on around the cemetery. I did not know if first, you remember where Henry's stone was and then do you have any idea what is going on? Oh, any idea who takes care of this cemetery? Who I would contact? I would have no problem coming up for another weekend or whatever it takes to clean this up I just st do not know who to contact. Thank you for any help.

I noticed today that a picture of her tombstone was put on her memorial.
Glad I could help.

Hi I stopped at the Dugway Cemetery today to check on the House stone that I told you that had several names on it. These are the names Alma E 1856-1858 Ulysses B 1861-1863 Mary R. 1871-1872 on one side. Clyne E. House 1867-1942 Anna C. House 1868-1946 one side. Alta R. 1888-1892 Vern A. 1894-1894 one side. It appears as though Altra & Vern are Clyne and Anna's Children and Alma, Ulysses & Mary R are Alonzo and Maria's children. There are also two flat stones by the oblique stone. One for Nellie and her husband but I forgot the name. These individuals seem to all be buried in the Dugway Cemetery as the map for burials are the same. If you would like to create memorials for these individuals I'll be glad to post the photos of the stones.

They are the one's. If you want to create memorials for them in the Dugway Cemetery, Oswego County, NY do so and I'll post the photos. I remember walking by there stone one other time and I thought is that the House's that some one was looking for in another cemetery. Betty Jane

You have a request in for a photo headstone for Alonzo & Marie House. Do you by chance have any dates of birth and death for either of them? The reason for my asking there is and Alonzo and Marie that are buried in the Dugway Cemetery - Dugway, NY which could possibly be them. Let me know. I did take photos of the head stone and I'll e mail them to you. Betty Jane

Thank you very much for taking the picture and posting it. I had visited in October and thought my camera took the photos but the battery died in the process. I am very happy to see it online.
Thank you again.
