BEATITUDES OF THE FAMILY GENEALOGIST|
Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, for they tell the story of their time.
Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, for this provides proof.
Blessed are grandmothers who preserve family Bibles and diaries, for this is our heritage.
Blessed are father who elect officials that answer letter of inquiry, for some, this is their only link to the past.
Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, for one of her children will surely remember.
Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, for them we owe the family history.
Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, for theirs is a labour of love.
Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

|Betty Simon Veillon||RE: Della Mae Baudoin|
I am kin to a Della Baudoin but not sure if she is the one you are asking about. Della was the daughter of Alexis Baudoin and Inez Vincent. Inez is my Mother's first cousin. Della had a sister, Mary, and a brother, Donald. Does this sound familiar to you?
|Angelia Roberson||Davis Family?|
Are you related to the Newman/Davis family?
Memorial # 9028376
If so, we may be related.
I am sending you an email so we can better compare notes.
|Mary Atkins Godsey||RE: Vail Genealogy|
I do have some of the Vails, but without dates, I am not sure if I have the ones you are looking for. I have a Jeremiah 1855-1936. I do not know if that is the correct one. I have Mattison's also. I have Colliers also. Would love to help.
May Gods Blessings Be With You Today And Always,
Email me at:

I'm sorry, I didn't grow up in Mississippi so the names aren't familiar to me. I have heard of the book you mentioned but have not seen it. My great grandmother was Mary Emma [Vail] Betts. She was born and raised in West Point and that is where my mother was born. My great Aunt(Mary Emma's daughter) currently lives there as well. The names may be familiar to her because she was also born and raised there. My great aunt married a Carter. I'll have to ask her if she recognizes the names the next time I talk to her.
I have three books concerning the Genealogy of the Vails descending from Thomas, Moses and Jeremiah. They have been an invaluable asset in my research. I would love to have a copy of the book you mentioned. Is it for sale online?
Do you have any information on William Walton's parents? I would like to give you my email so I don't fill up your message board but I'm worried about leaving it on an open website. Are you on ancestry.com? If so, we can also connect there.
|stephanie ||RE: Vail genealogy|
I do not have a William Walton Vail/Vale on my ancestry tree but that isn't to say that there is no relation. I do have quite a few William Vails on my tree that I have not started doing research on yet. My tree is a work in progress, so if I make a connection I will certainly let you know. If you make one, please let me know!
Robert Vail is my 2nd great grandfather. My parents currently live in West Point.
|Jackie Griffing||Robert Griffing|
Could you add the full name to this entry:
Robert S. "Bobby" Griffing. The grave is located in Ward Bend Cemetery, Franklin Parish, Louisiana. Thank you, Jackie Griffing
Thank you so much, Shirley, for the transferal of John's memorial. Have a great evening. Fondly, Suse

It's so nice to hear from you! I'm Eugene's youngest daughter. I'll make sure and tell Dad that I have been in touch with you! I only found this website today.
Thanks so much for reaching out!

Just browsing and noticed the duplication.
As often many are not AWARE of the other memorial.
Again, I apologize.
