Hiwatha is a Native American name..and I know there was alot of Hedgepath's in Carroll county, Ga area.
Alot of the Granville, Nc mixed blood native american people moved to the Carroll county, Ga area...like the Collins and Hawkins, etc.
My Aunt lived with Charlie Hedgepath all her life.
