Bio and Links
Bio Photo My hobby is genealogy, gardening and just being outdoors and scrapbooking. I have three sons, two step-daughters, three step-grandsons, 1 step-granddaughter, and a special little "granddaughter" puppy that we love like crazy. Recently we became "Great-grandparents" to a wonderful little girl, Emma. I was born in PA but I now live in OHIO. My husband's father's family are part Sicilian & part Swedish/my husband's mother's family came from Wisconsin with mostly a German background but also English and Irish too. I don't have enough time to devote to my research since going back to work full time but I try to add to my tree and work on other's family trees whenever possible. Some of my family are from: Ireland, Germany, to West Virginia & PA.

Re: Samuel Parker duplicate
Hi Carol,
I believe my memorial for Samuel Parker, Civil War Veteran is a different individual.

The other earlier memorials are for 2 Samuels
Samuel B Parker (1780-1859) &
Samuel B Parker Jr (1816-1829)
who both died before the Civil War even began (1861).

Thanks for looking, though; I always welcome being notified when I've accidentally made a dupe.

Take care and God bless,

RE: Baker family
Hi Carol! I'm so sorry, I never saw your message!
I didn't know I had "Contributor Tools": "Messages"!
I know we've corresponded since, and are relatives! Just thought I should reply.
Say, "Hi!"
Hope you've gotten farther than our Thomas [C] Baker? I have more on our Ann Carothers [various spellings] than I do our Thomas. I found most all of their 15 children, but the first 2 were females, and I don't yet have their names. Just getting back into genealogy after a long break. Y-DNA 'matches' are too genetically distant [Looking at NY, and VT?] Email me? [Same: kabespir]

Please do edits through edit on right side of memorial
as that is linked to the memorial and fewer mistakes are made. Thank you so much

RE: William Harold Sims
I would love to remove the link but it won't let me. I noticed that I didn't put this link on this memorial, it is a calculated link so I guess somehow Findagrave thought they were married.

RE: Phyllis Jean Washburn Pollock
Hi Carol,
Just got an email from Audie, here is what he answered "I have also heard that my Mom's middle name was Julia. But, after getting all her paperwork after her passing last April, all I have seen is Phyllis Jean. I have attached a PDF of her Death Certificate. But I also have her marriage license to my Dad in 1945; my birth certificate in 1949; marriage license to Jimmy in 1964; in fact every document I have has only Phyllis Jean. I don't have a copy of her birth certificate, but I don't think that matters at this point. Her name was Phyllis Jean (Washburn, Mills, Pollock)."
I think maybe she did change her middle name.

RE: Phyllis Jean Washburn Pollock
Hi Carol,
I emailed Phyllis' son, Audie Mills, and he sent me a copy of the info he got from Oklahoma after her death. It said Phyllis Jean Washburn. So I don't know if she changed it from Julia to Jean or what. I'll email Audie again and see if he knows anything about Julia.
Phyllis married my brother, James (Jim) Pollock, so I was her sister-in-law.

Sorry it took me so long to answer.
