I volunteer as a Board of Directors member and Archivist for the Pennington Research Association. Right now I volunteer as the Pennington Pedigrees Editor. I am involved in much Pennington activity whether they are my direct line or not. Our family is officially Group 6 of this wonderful genealogy site. http://www.penningtonresearch.org/|
I also serve as a Board of Director for the Eureka Historical Society and try to stay involved in my local community.
I've entered various kinds of cemetery records here at findagrave.com:
1) My own family members, if I know what cemetery they have been buried.
2) Photographed many, many cemeteries in the Readington Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ area.
3) Various cemetery records that I have access to books for all US States.
4) I am just about finished with photographing the cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma. There are about 10% unphotographed and have to figure out which section that I missed. This is my hometown cemetery so its especially dear to me.
5) Starting to photograph more cemeteries in the Eureka, St. Louis Co., MO area...but I've been slow at this. The Franklin Co., MO Cemetery Society pretty much has this area covered. Their contact information is www.cemeterysociety.org.
I have an interest in all tombstones of service men and women. Especially the ones that mention the Revolutionary and Civil War.
I research many surnames, such as: Adkins, Akins, Armitage, Cullins, Elms, Harding, Kirkpatrick, Pennington, Pitts, Redford, Thomas, Whiteaker, Woodrome/Woodrum, Wilson, etc.
If you find any errors or would like to have additional information posted to any records that I have added, please contact me and I'll make those changes for you.
I have no problem with transferring ownership of a memorial that I have created. Just ask and it is yours.
You have my permission to use any of the photographs that I take for your genealogy family history. No need to ask, this statement is all that you need. If you list me as the source for the photo, just source me as Mindy.
The picture of the above statue is from a tombstone that I photographed at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, Hunterdon Co., NJ of a little boy. The children's graves are the ones that makes me the most sad.

|Leslie ||nov 6 seminar|
My husband, Bob, and I recently gave a presentation at the Hunterdon County Library about the cemeteries of the county for the Tricentennial. Included in this event is a county-wide “scavenger hunt” where participants will return on Nov 6 and collect prizes for their participation at the Main Branch Library. We wanted to make that return lecture an informal meet and greet where anyone interested in getting involved, whether it be in cemetery restoration, work at the Historical Society with cemetery records, working in support of specific cemeteries, or with findagrave. Whatever it may be, and offering a way for like minded cemetery folks to network, share resources, advice, and the like. I am extending an invitation, hoping you are available and would like to come out and share you own expertise with the group. It’s, November 6, 7-9 PM at the Hunterdon County Main Branch Library. If you can make it let me know, thanks.

I noticed that you have a lot of information that I have not found. I know the information for his father is incorrect as the date of death is a decade before wilson's birth. The source of the information would be a big help as I have run into a brick wall on him long ago and gave up on ever finding any information about siblings or parents.
Thank you in advance

Hi ..Hope your feeling better and recouping like a good girl. :-> Taking it easy and resting all you should.. ((hugs))
I found Mary in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The info posted from the cemetery page has the wrong info and parents.
Mary is listed as a Pennington in the cemetery inventory list and not Sexton ..
after researching found her DC and attached.
She married William Marshall Pennington 137009752
So you can adjust your data ..

Hi Mindy, I checked my tree but did not see a Sank Gist among Lucy Ann Elizabeth's relatives. I am sure some of Lucy's Gist relatives traveled to Pottawatomie so it's possible he is related to her but I have no documentation. If something turns up, I will let you know.

On his memorial site you gave reference to Moodeys Hist. p. 260. and was wondering if you could share this history or lead me to where I can find it. 99% sure this is son of Thomas Gilbert and Maria/Mariah Beard.
Thank you, Sylvia Trotter

Find A Grave Memorial# 58250133
I must apologize for not correcting her date of death information - some time ago something happened to my 'account' at Findagrave and I have been unable to log in correctly to make edits etc on previous memorials I created. In an attempt to fix that problem, I actually created a different profile as a contributor, although under the same name 'Anquestor', and now have two profiles that I can't seem to get merged. I'm not sure how to fix it as none of my efforts at contacting Find A Grave people has resulted in any response whatsoever. If I could I would just delete the memorial or turn it over to you - as it is, your comment is the only way viewers have (for now) to see the correct information about our ancestor, Emaline Oates Pennington.

I don't post obituaries, but I will transfer his memorial to you so you can. Thanks. Debbie J.
|Don Babas||RE: Young|
Hi Mindy (not Mary) :)
Thanks for your quick response and all the info.
I also use ancestry.com I can use any help you are willing to provide. I'll have to check my records, but I believe the Young branch of my family lived in Pottawatomie County, probably not right in Wanette.
Please feel free to email me at... firstname.lastname@example.org
Sorry... I meant Mindy
|Don Babas||Cottrell Family|
I've seen the memorials you've created for several Cottrell family members. Are you related to them? Edna Latrice (Cottrell) Young is the wife of one of my relatives... Leslie E. Young who is buried in the Wanette Cemetery.
I've been trying to learn more about this branch (Young) of my family tree without much success.
Leslie E. Young is the son of A.D. & Fannie Young. Abraham Douglas Young and his wife Fannie (Williams) Young moved their family from Smithville, Tennessee to Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma some time between 1910 and 1920.
Best Wishes, Don Babas
