|I serve as a Board of Director for the Eureka Historical Society and try to stay involved in my local community.|
I've entered various kinds of cemetery records here at findagrave.com:
1) My own family members, if I know what cemetery they have been buried.
2) Photographed many, many cemeteries in the Readington Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ area. I do not live in this area anymore.
3) Various cemetery records that I have access to books for all US States.
4) I am just about finished with photographing the cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma. There are about 10% unphotographed and have to figure out which section that I missed. This is my hometown cemetery so its especially dear to me.
5) Starting to photograph more cemeteries in the Eureka, St. Louis Co., MO area...but I've been slow at this. The Franklin Co., MO Cemetery Society pretty much has this area covered. Their contact information is www.cemeterysociety.org.
I have an interest in all tombstones of service men and women. Especially the ones that mention the Revolutionary and Civil War.
I research many surnames, such as: Adkins, Akins, Armitage, Cullins, Elms, Harding, Kirkpatrick, Pennington, Pitts, Redford, Thomas, Whiteaker, Woodrome/Woodrum, Wilson, etc.
If you find any errors or would like to have additional information posted to any records that I have added, please contact me and I'll make those changes for you.
I have no problem with transferring ownership of a memorial that I have created. Just ask and it is yours.
You have my permission to use any of the photographs that I take for your genealogy family history. No need to ask, this statement is all that you need. If you list me as the source for the photo, just source me as Mindy.
Please do not be offended of headstone photo's that I took. I think the persons would rather be remembered than told to remove and forget. Its not my intention to hurt or offend.

Thank you for the information you sent to me! I had some of it in my family tree, but it was still helpful. I hope you also sent it to the member who manages Jacob Gano since much of it could be added to his bio. I did notice there is also a Jacob Ganoe, with the same gravestone photo as the Jacob that Elizabeth is linked to, but the dates on the memorial are different. Seems there is conflicting information on him.
You also mentioned she was listed in her father's estate, but I haven't found a record of his will yet. Can you point me in the right direction for finding it? If not, that's ok. It's on my to-do list along with several others. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your information with me!
I truly appreciate your efforts on Findagrave! However, I'd like to request, on behalf of those who have battled identity fraud of their deceased loved ones, that you not post SSNs on the site. In case you're wondering why, please read this article. Thanks. http://www.aarp.org/money/scams-fraud/info-03-2013/protecting-the-dead-from-identity-theft.html
Thank you again for your hard work, and please don't take offense.

Thank you Mindy. That means a lot.
|Michelle Kirkham||Just joined and have a request|
Thank you for posting information on my grandmother, June Wilson in Flemington, NJ who passed away in September of 2006.
I have just joined this site, and wonder if you could change her birth date to December 5th, as the newspaper had it incorrect. It's funny, my birthday is actually December 2, and then just 3 days later my grandmother's. I miss her still.
I am enjoying this site very much. I really find it so interesting to look through cemeteries and now that I am in Virginia I am seeing so many that are unkempt, and that makes me sad for the departed.
It is my hope to travel around my area in VA and help to post some photos of sites, so other loved ones in parts of the world, may be able to find their ancestors burial sites.
Again, many thanks!

One other thing... I try to clean up dupes too, and I'm guilty of inadvertently creating them at times. I'll always delete if it's not a dupe for Sally Palmer or graveaddiction memorials. Memorials created from those two accounts are never updated--and I know that from not only my personal experience but also from others who become frustrated trying to correct them. Take good care.

Yes, there are two memorials for my 3rd great-grandmother. That other contributor, Sally Palmer, MUST be dead or something. She created a ton of memorials in and around Blount County in 2008 and has not updated a single one since (even though her profile says she wants updates). Iíve tried for years to get her to change them. Some years ago I tried to get FG editors to remove her memorials or transfer them. I gave up trying a while back.
Most of her memorials need updating. I've found that the Bio sections of her memorials contain incorrect information too.

RE: Hardy Pitts # 103520927
I have no reason to feel that his obit needs to be removed. I personally like to see it in printed form knowing that this is how people viewed the original newspaper posting.
Thank you again for transferring him to me,
