|N.L. Moore||RE: Thomas Thompson 25271133|
You are certainly quick with responses. Thank you for your information about a marriage record for Nancy & Thomas Thompson. I hoped to find one definite spelling. I guess we have to settle for the many versions of Kenslo, Kinsloe, Kincheloe, etc.
I am still looking for official marriage record of Rebecca Thompson to Jacob Arnold and am not convinced yet that Thomas Thompson is buried in Clark County. Will continue to look for records. The quest never seems to end! Happy 4th of July.

Re his daughter Rebecca Thompson Arnold 58458894.
Do you have the marriage record for Rebecca Thompson and Jacob Arnold? I have been searching, but all I find is what is written in History of Edwards, Lawrence, and Wabash Counties, Illinois. If the book is correct, they married in Wabash Co., IL 1818. This is quite a bit earlier than Mary Ann Thompson Lewis writes. She places the Thompson family in Clark Co., Wabash Twp., IL. about 1826-28 I think.
I am wondering if it was Thomas and Nancy' son Daniel that migrated to Clark County and that Thomas and Nancy had settled in Wabash County (formerly Edwards Co.) and remained there. I don't know where Nancy is buried, but I believe that Rebecca's father Thomas Thompson was buried in Wabash County -- not The Thompson Cemetery in Clark County. I haven't been able to explain the Wabash Twp., Clark County and Wabash County same names either. Hope to have some help.

Thank you. I will keep trying to track down her daughters Susan and Melba. Hate to have photos that don't belong to our family. Keep up the good work.
|N.L. Moore||Re Allis Vada Arnold Moore|
Vada was my grandmother. Two of her sisters lived in Oregon for a time when I was a small boy. I knew Effie "Aunt Eff" as we called her.
I am wondering about your relationship to Elijah Major Moore and his second wife Jessie Stroup McCarthy Moore?
The reason I ask is because a lot of ancestry.com trees list Jessie's daughters Susan and Melba as daughters of Elijah M. Moore and Vada Arnold Moore. E.M. and Vada had only three children -- James Arthur, Samuel Mitchell, and Modest. I never knew who she was married to before E.M. Moore, but did find their marriage in Malheur Co. Oregon and her name was Jessie Stroup McCarthy, so I assumed McCarthy was father of the girls. I have been looking for a relative of theirs to find out if some of the phots we have are the girls. Thanks for the super quick response. N.L. Moore
|N.L. Moore||Your relationship to Elijah Major Moore|
Hello WildBill "Billy", I saw your flower expressions on some of my family sites. I am related to Elijah Major Moore of Ontario, Oregon Find A Grave #29617940 and wonder if you are, too? Your message referred to Elijah Major Moore as your great grand uncle and also to Jessie Stroup Moore and James McCarthy buried in Santa Barbara. James McCarthy was Jessie's first husband.
Are you related to her family lines? N.L. Moore

Sorry, I have been at this for too many hours tonight :P I have her with Arthur born 1763 not 1743.
|Charlotte Smith Muir||Arthur Purcell|
I happened to notice you notated that Arthur is your 9th great grandfather on his memorial. He is my 10th great-grandfather and I would love to chat with you about his daughter Isabella, as there seems to be some confusion as to which Whitehead she married. She is my 9th great-grandmother and some trees show she married Arthur born 1673 and some show she married Arthur born 1643.. which are father and son. I am standing by what I find in that she married the latter of the two. In accordance with the Millennium File..May I ask if you have researched her and if so, which Arthur did you conclude with, if at all?
|Barbara Lee||Ricker stone at Gray Cemetery|
Are the Rickers buried at Gray/Tennessee Cemetery your ancestor? Might take a look at the picture I posted. This is what we found when we drove across state to decorate the Shaffer graves at this cemetery this year. The fence has been torn out and someone is farming very, very close to the graves.
