I am no longer living in Knoxville,TN. We have moved to Port Saint Lucie,FL. I began to assemble a family tree in an effort to learn more about my predecessors, to find out more about who they were, what they did, where they lived and what became of them when they passed on. This project led me to Findagrave and thanks to other Findagrave members I was able to learn where many of my relatives were buried and see their markers. As family members are scattered around the country it is difficult if not impossible to visit them all. As a way to pay back the kindness of those members taking photos for our family, I began taking photographs of headstones for others and creating memorials. It has become an interesting and relaxing hobby. If I have created a memorial page for a relative of yours and you would like it transferred to your care just let me know. Also, please keep in mind when you request a photo that many cemeteries are large and not well marked. Without information about the plot location the plots can be time consuming to find. Try to contact the cemetery by mail or phone and obtain any info. about the plot location to help myself and other Findagrave volunteers find your loved ones resting place and take the photo you desire. I would also like to give special thanks to Robert A. McGinnis. Robert is the Knox County Cemetery Historian and his efforts in researching and documenting all the cemeteries in Knox County, Tenn. and many in surrounding counties have been a great help to those of us that walk the cemeteries in search of headstones. Thank you Robert ! Questions pertaining to interments at Old Gray Cemetery in Knoxville should be directed to Alix Dempster at 865-522-1424 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Quite often she has additional information relating to those interments.|

|Lisa Coy||Thank you|
Thank you for creating them, and transferring them. You see my grandma, Mary's daughter, never thought her mother had a head stone. Her mother died when she was 9 so she never even knew where her mother was buried, I made a promise to her that I would find Grandma and if there was not a headstone put one there. So, to my delight, not only had you already found her, but I was thrilled to see there was already a headstone, my grandma can RIP, now knowing her mother was not forgotten.
A million thanks.

|James Newman||Infant son NIghbert|
It's me again!!! In looking at the tombstone picture up close of Infant Son Nighbert #94374556, I believe the year is 1875, not 1876. It is not real clear.

|James Newman||Nancy E. Nighbert|
In looking at the tombstone picture for Nancy E. Nighbert #94374443, I believe the year is 1883, not 1888. I submitted that year as an edit but wanted you to know that I had. I also believe that she is the wife of James A. Nighbert, #94374488. He was sometimes called General Arthur Nighbert because he was apparently rather cocky and strutted when walking. I don't know if they were buried next to each other or not. Perhaps from your records of taking the tombstone picture you would know if they were or not.

|Jan Bos from Nijmegen, Holland||Private Leroy J. Hansard|
Private Leroy J. Hansard was a member of C Battery 376th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division. He was killed during a German artrillery concentration on his positions in Dekkerswald, southeast of Nijmegen (during the socalled operation Market Garden - Sepotember/November 1944). He was killed some 4 miles from my home. I wrote the history of his unit, "Circle and the Field of Little America. I would like to ask your permission to use the picture you took of his grave for my 376th colletion. Of course you will be credited
