Bio and Links
Many years into my hobby of genealogy, I find so much important information on Find A Grave that I like to add what I can so that others will find links they can use.

My research is of Mustaine, Pittenger, Dial, Newton, Deadmon, and Burden families. Areas where these families lived include Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.

I am happy to add links for you, or additional information, and will transfer memorials to you, using the Find A Grave guidelines.

RE: Altus Babyland
Read this story to your husband, he will laugh.

During my senior year at AHS in 1978, I worked for an Altus bricklayer. I had a 67 Ford Galaxie 500, with a 289. One day I was feeling (adventures) and I was driving to work between Altus & Eldorado, and I floored the accelerator.

I reached about 95mph, after about 5 miles I wuz thinking, (Wuz is an Oklahoma spelling), maybe I should slow down, (what if a deer jumps out in front of me)? So I got off the gas and looked in my rear-view mirror and saw.....the blackest cloud of black smoke pouring out of the back end. For that moment on, my car burned a Quart of oil.......every 40 miles!

Is your husband laughing?

Yes, Mom never knew of Patrick's grave colapsing. She died in 1996. I just talked to the cemetery staff and had it filled in real quick. Do you live in Altus? I grew up at 820 N. Hightower

Nice message, Thank You for reading my brothers memorial. I wrote that, I felt guilty about him not having a word on his memorial.

Altus Babyland
I saw that you have an open photo request for Altus Babyland. I don't know "if" there is a stone there. Take a look at my brothers memorial, Patrick Allen Calhoun. Notice the lack of sones in the background. If you read his obituary, then you'll know why I said that.

RE: Nora Causey Holcomb
If you would please do that for me it would be very much appreciated! He hasn't seen his grandparents headstone, or know anything about them! So I am doing what research I can to help him learn more about them before he passes.

thank you again,

Nora Causey Holcomb
I am simply requesting a headstone picture of her's AGAIN! I put a note with it asking for a full headstone shot, not just the up close one.. I am researching the Holcomb line for a close family friend, before he passes away, he would like to know more about his family, and that is his paternal grandmother.

Thank you though,
- Brianna Butler

I'm wondering if there is an "empty" plot next to Betty Josephine where her mother was buried. I would think she would have purchased a plot next to her daughter. Phila Ann was A.P.'s second wife. He had multiple children with the first wife, so he might be buried elsewhere.

Phila Ann's parents are buried in another cemetery where there has been much destruction of the markers. My husband and I went there in 2013 and found a mess. Thankfully someone had photographed the marker. Phila's brother and his wife, my husband's 3rd greats marker is missing.
Phila Ann's nephew and brother-in-law handled her estate so I assume they knew her wishes.
May I copy Betty Josephine's marker picture for Ancestry and give you full credit for the photograph? The provenance for the picture is important.I hope the marker is still there but it has been a number of years since you posted the picture.
