Hi Sara. I'm your second cousin Ginger Cox Dimsdale. I am assuming that you are Stanleys daughter. I can't even remember the last time I saw him. Spent most of my time with Mark as we were closer in age. Granny Cox was always glad for summer to come so the reunions could begin. A very fun time.
if you have time please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to find more about you and the family.
Hi again, After I had written last, I found a listing for Edmund Duncan of the ToT here:
As Near as I can tell Edmund was still around Alabama in 1835 as his name is on a petition as part of the council during that year. I refer to this link from James Brashear:
I am still working on a few other things. You can write me direct at email@example.com

Hi again; I found a book by Don Shadburn called "Upon Our Ruins" which states that it is believed Trader John was the father of Edmund Benge. (page 534) While I realize it is not proof of anything, it is at least something, and from what you wrote, it would make sense that if there was a ggg uncle who was a chief rather than a gggrandfather, then it would be John as the father rather than Robert who would be the uncle who was chief. Where do you fit in? It would seem we are cousins somewhere in there.

Hello, My name is Larry Rogers living in Oklahoma. I too am related to Dorcas through Edmund Benge Duncan. I was wondering if there is any proof of the relationship between Dorcas and Robert Benge. I have seen a book where it was supposed that Trader John,(Robert's father) was Edmund's father, and have been trying to straighten out the relationship for several years without finding proof of either, and some even claiming that Young Charles was Edmund's dad. Anyway it is nice to meet you and I thank you for posting the information you have here.
