I was born and raised and work in northern Virginia. I'm a 65 year old Federal Government employee with 41 years of service. Almost ten years after its inception, I found this site quite by accident when a co-worker asked me to help him at lunch time take a photograph of a headstone that was overgrown with bushes. After that, I was hooked fulfilling photo requests, primarily at nearby Arlington National Cemetery.|
Then it occurred to me that this would be a great place (free (thus far)) to document my family tree for all to see, which would be based on the extensive genealogical research that my aunt has been doing for the past 15 to 20 years. This project of linking thousands of memorials is going to take a very long time (if it's at all possible) to complete due to several memorial creators, totally unrelated to my family, who will neither transfer ownership nor respond to SAC edits. That is not to say that all memorial creators are like that. Indeed, most are very gracious and totally responsive, and for that, I whole-heartedly thank them.
If I have a memorial for one of your relatives, I'll gladly transfer ownership upon request. If you make your transfer request via SAC edit and after two days I haven't made the transfer, please email me directly or leave a public message here on this page.
You have my permission to use any of my photos, as long as you include attribution. (You don't need to ask.)

Thanks for the headstone photo of Charles Moore.
He was my Grand Uncle and served 30 years in the Army. We had always heard he was buried in Arlington cemetery and now I know.
Thanks again and have a good day
Thank you for providing those photos. Especially the geometric array of stones off to infinity. Keep up the great work!

Thank you very much for the lovely photos you took of LTC Clarence Shugart and his wife Fern's gravestones. They are clear photos and easily read. May God bless you.

Thanks so much for filling my photo request for Carol Riddle.
Special thanks for creating the memorial for her husband and adding his headstone photo as well.
Both the photos are excellent!
I really appreciate everything you have done!
Thank you so much for filling my photo requests. I really appreciate your time and your high quality photographs!
Thought I might give you a heads up. # new McInturff's.
Carol Jean McInturff Adamson.
I have put memorials up for all of them. FYI- Carol is buried with the McInturff's.
I got Andrews picture on the right one this time. You can delete the other memorial if you like.
Also when I talked to the saxton today we found out that Hamburger Gene and Gene is all the same person. Also there is a Irvan Eugene McInturff with the same information as Gene. Birth and death dates are exactly the same. Could Irvan Eugene be the same person as Hamburger Gene and Gene?

What great photos and thanks for taking the time. I have several family members buried there and I do appreciate your hard work, as I will probably never get close to Virginia.

You certainly are welcome. Do you have other family at East Lawn? I have been slowly working on photographing the whole cemetery but have only done about 4 rows.
