RE: Anna Moas
You're quite welcome, Annette.

If you're referring to Anna's stone, it's probably a German verse and I don't speak that, but if you think it's important I can go back. It's only a couple of blocks from my house

In 1971 the cemetery was surveyed and they, the surveyors, entered everything that could be read on the stone in the survey. Jan copied that word for word, so if it's in the memorial, it's what could be read or considered unimportant.

FWIW the cemetery didn't close until AFTER the survey was done, so there are more stones in the cemetery then are listed on Find A Grave. Something to keep in mind.

I'm a little concerned about that place. It was in a relatively good part of town, but I noticed some vandalism there today which hadn't occurred since I was last there two weeks ago. One incident could have been natural, one obviously wasn't. I've notified the police about my concerns, but it is on a hill. If you go over the hill, where I suspect the vandalism occurred, you won't be seen from the street. Oh the times we live in....

O.S.A. Moas / Susan Maus
The 1985 survey lists both headstones in its records. O.S.A. is on row 16 and Susan is on row 17 in the South section. This leads me to believe there were two separate markers. I will do some searching to find out more information about O.S.A. Moas. We'll get to the bottom of this mystery!

O. Moas
I was out at Antioch Cemetery this morning to look for this grave for you. I found in a survey where it is supposed to be located, but there is no stone there anymore. The grave is located between two blank markers and Taunya and Arthur & Ella Burson. There is an indention in the ground that looks like a small rectangular stone used to be there very recently. I can't say for sure this is the burial spot now, but it is where the surveyor said it was back in 1985. I'll go ahead and post the photos I took, but just wanted you to know there was no headstone found.

Thomas Alexander Phillips
There is an Alexander Phillips 4/24/1837 8/4/1884 that shares a stone with Martha Ann Phillips 3/22/1861 1/11/1893. Then there is a Thomas 1791 12/23/1855 that shares a stone with Elizabeth died Feb. 10, 1876. That is all I have found.

RE: Phillips in Bluff
Transferring the memorials to you means you maintain them. You can add what ever you want to them, you will have ownership of the memorial. I transfer them to family because family can add so much more then I can. I try to add obits where there are obits. But sometimes there just isn't one to find.

I transfer my entries to family members. I will transfer any that you are kin to. Just go to 'Suggest Corrections' and ask me to transfer them to you. I am looking up old obits so as I find them I will send them to you via 'Suggest Corrections'
