RE: Rebecca Elizabeth Hockenbury #115369773
Thank you very much. I've been on and off tracking the descendants of Joseph Crate and Rachel Van Campen who lived in Hunterdon County. My wife descends from their son, John Crate. I had noticed in the will of John's brother, Joseph, that the daughter's married names were listed so I started checking on their husbands.

RE: Rebecca Elizabeth Hockenbury #115369773

Wow, fast - thanks. Rebecca's parents, Joseph Crate (33310014), and Ann (Biggs) Crate (33310102) are buried in the New Lebanon Reformed Church Cemetery. I just found that William H. Hockenbury was Rebecca's husband today. I just had his last name. I'm not sure where he's buried. He remarried in 1863 from the looks of it.

Rebecca Elizabeth Hockenbury #115369773
Hi Leslie,

My wife is related to Rebecca Elizabeth (Crate) Hockenbury who was married to William H. Hockenbury. I believe you have her middle initial, maiden name and death year incorrect on memorial #115369773. She was the daughter of Joseph Crate and Ann Biggs and she died December 8, 1861. I believe this can be seen on the photograph accompanying your memorial. There is a death index record for Rebecca on with her death date and the name of her father.

RE: Wilbur family name
My husband is descended from their son Ernest. I haven't come across any Native American in the family that I know of.

Wilbur family name
I can probably help you some with the Wilbur family name. My husband is a direct descendent of Daniel Boone Wilbur and Lillian Belle Ford.

Hi Leslie! Thank you so much for adding John Frelinghuysen Schenck. He is my husband's 3rd great grandfather. Could you please change the birth date to 6 Jun 1799? That is the date on the tombstone as well as in all my research so far! It looks as though you may have mistyped it.
Thanks again!
