Bio Photo My hobby is genealogy. I enjoy walking the cemeteries and taking photos of stones and to help others see their ancestors and loved ones stones.
I would be happy to transfer, to your care, any of my non-family memorials to anyone who finds that I have entered one of their ancestors/relatives.

Rebecca Ann Mattocks Curtess
Charles and Rebecca also had a daughter after Jane named Mary, born about 1877, I have nothing else on her. Could maybe fit stone in question.

RE: Rebecca Ann Mattocks Curtess
Yes, you are correct, Jane J. Curtess (Cmara Jane Curtess) was a daughter of Rebecca and Charles. That one is solved ...

but, I am not able to find where this James 1890 is fitting into the picture, I have been looking and searching for a James and have not found him yet, you indicate that he is a brother to Rebecca Ann, I don't find him in the census,...still confused on that one. Do you have birth and death dates for him?

I looked at the stones you have on Jane's page and the dates are correct for her and I had the 4 years, 1 month, 22 days from Great Grandmothers bible so I believe that is her.

Now, I do have a Maria C. Mattocks, born 1850 in Penn, to Jacob C. and Jane Arbuckle, she would be a sister of Rebecca's and that could fit for the stone in question. She is not listed in the 1860 Census, so must have passed between 1850 and 1860. So where does that leave us now? I think we are making headway :)

Rebecca Ann Mattocks Curtess
Thank you for taking the time to check into this for me. I have been searching for Rebecca's burial place everywhere, then it dawned on me that I had her daughter-in-law's bible pages (Elvira B. Mattocks Curtess) and there it was. It said Rebecca died in Toledo, Ohio and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery North. You had created her husband Charles memorial, but no Rebecca, if she is not there I don't know where she would be. Her mother is Jane Arbuckle Mattocks 90382723 (my 3X great grandmother), you also created her memorial and she is buried there. Jane's husband is Jacob C. Mattocks 71218152 and he is in the Illyria cemetery. I believe that the spouse you have is not correct. If I can be of any more help to you please let me know. Are you related to either the Mattocks or Curtess? Thanks again, you have been very kind to check into all of this. Nancy
