I was born in New Jersey but grew up in several different states - among them Illinois and Michigan. I now work and reside in Oklahoma City, OK.
I have been researching my family history for over 10 years. My father's family resided in Lapeer, Alpena, Montmorency and Genesee counties in Michigan, beginning in 1850's. My mother's side of the family originally came from Slovakia (in the Carpathian Mountain region), Hungary and Poland; then immigrated in the early 1900's to Warren County New Jersey and Lehigh County Pennsylvania.
