Strong interest in geneaology and Cajun ancestry. I am Louisiana nativeand have taken pictures of graves in Jeff Davis Parish and Georgia. I enjoy genealogy and helping others find their ancestors. I will gladly transfer management of a memorial to a direct descendant of someone I have added if you are an active contributor to find a grave.

Prefer to leave as is since spellings are different in each version. My GGrandfather Elmore and Grand Mother spelled it Bureau, but thanks for your interest. John Ferguson

Linking Family Members
I noticed several Meaux family members where pictured on one headstone at Saint Alphonsus Cemetery which was added by you. However, not all members on the headstone were properly added for access. These are the following names: Francois Meaux (14 Sept 1879 - 9 Nov 1952), Theogene Meaux (1 Jan 1847 - 10 Mar 1920), Odile Meaux (8 Oct 1853 - Unknown Death), and Edmaze Meaux(maiden name) Broussard (24 Jan 1882 - Unknown).

They are related as follows: Theogene-Father; Odile-Mother;, Edmaze-daughter; and Francois-Son.

Please double check and add each so that I may be able to transfer this information to my family tree. Also, please add the photo to each individuals page in Find a Grave.

Many thanks for all your effort! You are greatly appreciated. Brenda

RE: Paul S. Arceneaux
No problem. Many have erroneously assumed the same. I'm always happy to clear up the confusion. My Aunt Natalie and her adoptive parents Bob & Florence were very special people to me.

Paul S. Arceneaux
A correction to Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery in Welsh, LA: Paul S. Arceneaux (my father) was not the son of Robert & Florence Arceneaux. He was the son of Sanciere (St.Cyr) Arceneaux and Rose Edna Sandoz. The confusion perhaps comes from the fact that Sanciere & Rose Edna had six children: Paul, Morgan, Leon, Lyne Keith, Natalie, and Neal Arceneaux. After the death of Rose Edna's only female child, Natalie, around 2 or 3 years old, was adopted by St. Cyr's brother, Robert and wife Florence. The boys all grew up with their father St. Cyr (too soon a widower) along with their numerous aunts and uncles on the Arceneaux homestead south of Welsh, LA.
