Why has F J M's memorial suddenly had it's name changed to John M. FERREE??????????? You did NOT believe me when I contacted you originally to say that I thought that this was my gg uncle, John M. Ferree, and now suddenly, after MY memorial disappears, your memorial is renamed?!!!
Why are you not polite enough to respond to my
3X request to transfer the unknown F J M to me? This is my family. You COLLECT/HOARD memorials??? WHY????????????????????

I just attempted to send a reply that should help clear this up (hopefully) and it came back that the site would not accept a reply. Would you send me your email address and I'll resend it directly to you. Thanks!

Thank you for telling me how you got the memorial # for my gg uncle, John M. Ferree. You have not responded to my request to TRANSFER
F J M's memorial to me. He is my direct blood line. John's sister was my g grandmother. I doubt that you are related to him in any way. I see that you have created many many memorials, many related to civil war graves. You've done a good thing in cataloging these graves on Find A Grave, but you need to return the memorials to family members. Please do that for me, and for John. thanks, Renee

Janet, I have just written to Find A Grave. How is it that you know the memorial # for my gg uncle? I would like you to transfer ownership for the F J M memorial #60672390 to me. We both know that the odds are that MY gg uncle is the F J M in Chatanooga Cemetery. We have discussed this before: same exact initials, died in same place, same day, same year etc etc etc
PLEASE transfer his memorial to me...thanks so much, Renee

John M. Ferree
You must have requested that MY JOHN M. FERREE memorial be merged with your UNKNOWN F J M. In the merging process, I LOST all of the research concerning John & his 1st cousins who fought in the Civil War. I had 15-20 links on John's memorial with his 1st cousins. I had biographical data on MY memorial that I am not going to have to reconstruct. I am not a "collector" of memorials. John is my direct family line!!! I am NOT a happy camper.......

John M. Ferree
I tried to go to my great great uncle's memorial (that I created, researched, linked to family, & connected with the "unknown" F J M at Chatanooga Nat'l Cemetery) only to discover that it was merged with your UNKNOWN F J M. I would like you to transfer this memorial back to me. He is direct line family. My mother has his Civil War diary. I sent a typed copy of his diary to Stones River Nat'l battlefield ages ago.
PLEASE transfer his memorial to me. thanks, Renee

a couple of errors
See the memorials for Winter Connor #30304455 and his brother and his brother Fernando. The Patrick Connor and Jane Connor shown as their parents are not their parents though they may be of the 3rd son shown named Ben. I have posted census files on the nemorials for Fernando and Winter and the same files on their correct parents, another Patrick Conner and mother Nancy Jane Dennis Conner. There is also posted a marriage license. Separate corrections for all forthcoming. Thank you.

Alexander Carden
The info came from Peggy Holley's book on the 7th Tn Cavalry:

This is the complete entry from the book:

CARDEN, ALEXANDER (ALFRED) K, Co E, private. There is very little information in his muster rolls. He was recruited but not mustered. Presumed to have been captured with the regiment at Union City, TN on 3/24/64, he ended up in Andersonville Prison where he died on 6/11/64 of either dysentery, chronic diarrhea, or scurvy and erysipelas. All were mentioned on various documents and one said disease unknown. The New York Times gave his death as 7/11/1864 and said it took place in the Carnel House at Andersonville. Carden was the son of James and Clara (Clarissa) Chamblee Carden. His mother applied for a dependent pension on his service. She gave her address as "ten miles from Huntingdon, Tenn, on the wagon road to Spellings' Bridge on Sandy River." She was already a widow when Alfred K Carden enlisted.

As you can see, he did not muster which would explain why he is not on the rosters.

Hope this helps - G-Man

Sarah E. Bradbury Whitley(?)
Here's what I could find. She died in Union Co. IL 4-11-1945. Married to William H. Whitley as of 1910, living in Jonesboro, IL, born abt. 1859 or 60. Sadie Graham Whitley may have been a daughter in law, as Sadie Whitley is living in her household in the 1930 Census. See Sadie Graham Whitley Find A Grave # 93341977.

The only other Whitley I could find was in Rosehill Cemetery, Williamson CO IL, William Whitley YOD 1974. He was possibly born in 1910, need to confirm that. His plot number has him buried next to William and Della ARMES. Possibly Sadie's grandson and related to the Armes family.

I hope this helps!
