Findagrave has added a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This new feature is a true blessing.|
Thank you for visiting!
My mother, Mary Edith "Meg" Stevens and I, were/are long-time supporters of Findagrave -- a wonderful site to place memorials and do research. She sadly passed away in May of 2013, but her love of genealogy and helping others find their family, lives on.
One of my interest areas is the American Revolution. Please feel free to visit my page on Facebook and assist in the research. https://www.facebook.com/groups/RevWarRsch/.
I also welcome you to follow my weekly blog at GenealogyBank or to follow me on Twitter.
Thank you. I wish you success in your family research.

REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS
Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.
As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.

|June Ford||Silas Stewart|
Thanks for answering.. do you think the Steward spelling was just a mistake? As for the Fords, I got that info from the Decatur Co Historical Society & then saw more in a history of Decatur that I read on-line. That was many years ago & I should probably try again. The Fords came from Harrison or Scott Co KY, and John was married to Delilah Tevis in Clark Co; if I'm right about Jared marrying Elizabeth Campbell I think that was in Madison Co. John moved to MO & became Baptist, I always wondered why.
|kathrynwitte ||Henry Thoma (1846-1891) transfer request|
You have graciously transferred other members of my family to me so I am hereby requesting the transfer of my great grandfather, Henry Thoma to me for the management and care of his memorial.
Thank you for being a wonderful custodian. I appreciate being able to include him in my family memorials group.
You seem to have quite a bit of info on Silas Stewart of Decatur Co Indiana, so I'm hoping there is a connection & you may know more than this shows. Silas & Jacob have (rarely) been listed as Steward, which is one of my family names - but that isn't my main interest right now. They helped begin the Methodist Church in Decatur county along with John & Jared P. Ford & their wives. John is my husband's ancestor & I have been trying for years to learn the names of his parents as well as the connection between him & Jared P. (who is not the son of Jarrett & Elizabeth Terrill Ford, & whose wife might or might not have been Elizabeth Campbell). If you know anything or can put me in touch with someone who does, I would surely appreciate it and would be happy to share what I have.

Dr. Mendenhall's biography has been added to his memorial. Thank you so much for transferring the maintenance to me.
|Kay Arnold||Rachel Peck Posey article re her 1868 death|
Thank you for sharing this article. It is short on details but gives a very colorful look at Rachel and her life. Indeed, I also enjoyed it and have added it to Rachel's findagrave memorial.
|Dorothy Smith||Ralph Smith 1610 England|
Ralph Smith b 1610 had a son b in 1640 and he died in a few days later. He didn't have another son named Ralph.
original Ralph was the s/o John Smyth and Grace unk.
he was married twice #1 was Elizabeth Hobart and #2 was Grace Lewis Hatch of Yarmouth she was a widow also.
Ralph was always in trouble with the law in Massachusetts with warrants for this and that and court apperances'
He and Elizabeth had 6 children and went to Eastham where #7 was born.
Some are saying that all of the children are Grace but I haven't found any for her.
|The Genealogy Genie||Van Syckel Transfer|
Thank you for transferring the tribute of Mrs. Mary Townsend (nee Van Syckel) and her husband, Richard. I appreciate it very much.
Would it be too much to also ask for the transfer of Mary's sister, Sarah (#108874919)? I see that you manage her tribute as well. I certainly understand if you choose to not transfer.
Please let me know if you need any research assistance in Northern California.
|Sandy Boyd||Caroline King|
Caroline King was the grandmother to my grandmother, Irene Rachel King Gatley. I have the original deed to Caroline's grave site at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Thank you for all of the time, work, and energy it takes to do this.
Wasn't expecting transfer, but thank you for Catherine LeBon. I have added more info and will try to find all their children too! thank you for sharing!
