Hello, I see that you too have links to the Bates- Emmons Family. Emanuel (Samuel) Emmons was my great great Grandfather. F. Emmons and Mary were my great, great, great, Grandparents.

Margaret, it is wonderful to hear from you. I believe your William H. was my gg-uncle.
Did your William marry Mary Ann Lipe and move to South Dakota?
If so, this is the William I firmly believe was Oliver's son. I have Oliver's obituary which helps prove the relationship. William's brother George was my gg-grandfather.
Please email me at email@example.com. I would be thrilled to correspond.
Thanks for taking the time to take pictures of Bertha, Harry, Margaret, William, and Wendall's foot stones. There a great addition to their memorials and to my family tree.

Just one of many soldiers that gave their life that didn't receive a marker....thanks for the explination and I'll add it to my virtual cemetery of no grave markers....
