I am no longer living in Knoxville,TN. We have moved to Port Saint Lucie,FL. I began to assemble a family tree in an effort to learn more about my predecessors, to find out more about who they were, what they did, where they lived and what became of them when they passed on. This project led me to Findagrave and thanks to other Findagrave members I was able to learn where many of my relatives were buried and see their markers. As family members are scattered around the country it is difficult if not impossible to visit them all. As a way to pay back the kindness of those members taking photos for our family, I began taking photographs of headstones for others and creating memorials. It has become an interesting and relaxing hobby. If I have created a memorial page for a relative of yours and you would like it transferred to your care just let me know. Also, please keep in mind when you request a photo that many cemeteries are large and not well marked. Without information about the plot location the plots can be time consuming to find. Try to contact the cemetery by mail or phone and obtain any info. about the plot location to help myself and other Findagrave volunteers find your loved ones resting place and take the photo you desire. I would also like to give special thanks to Robert A. McGinnis. Robert is the Knox County Cemetery Historian and his efforts in researching and documenting all the cemeteries in Knox County, Tenn. and many in surrounding counties have been a great help to those of us that walk the cemeteries in search of headstones. Thank you Robert ! Questions pertaining to interments at Old Gray Cemetery in Knoxville should be directed to Alix Dempster at 865-522-1424 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Quite often she has additional information relating to those interments.|

|Jennifer Mann||Eugene Emert|
Good morning. I just signed up on findagrave and am still trying to figure out how it works. I saw that you added my grandfather, Eugene Emert so thought I'd start here. Are you related to Gene somehow? Emerts and their familes are EVERYWHERE!

|Michelle Hillier||duplicate of memorial 33995974|
ooops, sorry. I deleted the duplicate. After taking a batch of photos I look the name on the stone up them either post or delete if not needed & skipping those photos whose name did not come up. Then I start again on those I skipped to double check before creating a memorial. Mind boggling on how I still will accidentally create a duplicate. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Michelle

Howard---Happy Turkey day to you in Florida. I just wanted you to know that you made an incredible contribution to this Veteran Cemetery. My wife and I are to be interred here. AND, to let you know I have spent a bit of time finding temporary markers you photographed and did not get a chance to get back and upload a photo with the permanent. I am doing that now and we are trying to pick up where you left off photographing this important cemetery for us veterans.

|Robin Sutherland||Ethel Cross Woodby|
I came across your post on Ethel Cross who married Charles D. Woodby. The parents you have attached to her are incorrect. Her father was George R. Cross and mother was Julia A. Gann who are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. The 1900 census lists an Ethel Cross in George's household, born June 1890. Ethel's death certificate was a little hard to find because the last name was misspelled, I think it was Woodey. Her death certificate lists George and Julia as parent and husband C. D. Woodby. Death cert. has birth date of Jun 7, 1891 and death date of 18 Mar 1940. Ethel was my great aunt.

Thank you for adding the photographs for the memorial of Andrew Belcher, #9582156. I wondered if you could please delete 2 of them, there are 4 photographs in total and 2 are duplicates.
Thank you, Marilynn Johnson, Knoxville, TN.
|deanna french||Knox County Civil war Soldiers.|
I am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties/ roots in Vermont. I have found that you contributed marker/monument photo's for several memorial pages in Knox County. There may be others I haven't seen yet. May I use these photo's to post on the Vermont C.W.site? (www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration
