I wanted to let you know that I did the update to the memorial that you sent. It looks like we may be distant cousins. I am the 4x great granddaughter of John McBride and Christina (Tenah) Crow.

RE: Grave Transfer
You're certainly welcome!

After Ruth was connected to her parents, I noticed that her little brother Jay didn't have much in the way of birth & death dates. I was able to find his death record at FamilySearch, so I posted that and sent an edit message to the manager of his memorial.

Have a great day!

Mary L. Crow Manning.
Hello! Mary was my great grandfather's first wife. The family story is he had two children with her but both died. Several years ago I got and email from a woman who thought her grandmother may have been David and Mary Manning's daughter and that David had given her away after Mary's death. When I wrote back she didn't respond.
After David remarried, he and his wife Lizzie (my great grandmother) moved to eastern Washington where many of his family members already lived. I was surprised to see the Crows in WA. as well. I wasn't aware that the had come west.
If you know anything about whether David and Mary had another child I'd love to hear from you. Records from Bates County, MO. seem to b e very difficult to get and even the local paper (on line from those years) doesn't have much.
Thanks,
You not really but sort of cousin, Lynn

Related to Anna May Crow Warner
Hi, Anna. I saw you mentioned in a page for Albert Warner. He is the brother in law of my paternal great grandmother (Anna May Crow Warner) was her sister. Do you have any information on the Crow family? She spelled it Crowe and her name was Dorothy. Thanks!

RE: Margaret Donahey Huff Galbraith
Thanks Anna for your reply. There were several Zacheus B. Huffs. My Zacheus was born in 1798 and was married to Margaret Donahey in 1820. There was another Zacheus born 1829, who was a nephew. And then this one appears to be another one.

I don't know about sons of the older sons of William Huff who may have also named their son a Zach B. I would have to look this other Zach up who married Temperance.

I doubt he was divorced from Margaret as she continued to have children by the name of Huff after 1832, including my great great grandfather, and she is mentioned in the Huff family bible, "my dear mother Margaret Galbraith" with same exact death date you have. My gg grandfather Martin V. B. Huff is listed as a Galbraith in the census, but that was probably census taker error in 1850. And if Charles D. Galbraith had a child with Margaret in 1840, then it was out of wedlock because they didn't marry until 3 MAY 1842 by Ephriam Sears, J.P. I think I remember encountering that record of this other Zacheus B. and wondering to whom it belonged and I may figure that out some day. I have copies of a Huff genealogy from the Library of Congress done in the 1950s that contains first hand account from one of the Johnson relatives of this Zacheus and how he married Margaret "Donehy".

I would love to be placed in contact with relatives of Charles D. or some who may have a photograph of him.

Zacheus Biggs was the cousin of these Zacheus B. Huffs, and was a Federalist appointed by President Adams as a Treasury Officer. He was accused by Republicans of not making timely remittance to the Treasury. He later became Surveyor General of Ohio and surveyed the Seven Ranges and was appointed as the first Receiver of the Ohio Land Office in Steubenville.

Margaret Donahey Huff Galbraith
My ggg grandmother was Margaret Donahey Huff Galbraith, daughter of James Donahey. She married (1) Zacheus Biggs Huff and (2) Charles D. Galbraith. Zack Huff died in 1840 while Margaret was pregnant with daughter Mary Ann. In 1842, she married Charles D. Galbraith, who became Mary Ann's stepfather. Maybe Mary Ann Huff did assume the name Galbraith, but the other older siblings kept the name Huff. My gg grandfather was Margaret's son Martin V. B. Huff. I have never seen a photo of Margaret or Charles and would love to see one. It seems like there must be photos of her somewhere. Margaret and Charles had a son Alvin Victor Galbraith, who was a Methodist minister. Governor Alvin Victor Donahey was named after him. I am interested to find more about Alvin and would enjoy seeing a photo of him also, and any of the other relatives. I think Charles father may have been Robert Galbraith? who names them in his will. Charles and Margaret cared for him in his later years.
