I was sent a note from from a Pugh relative, as I had accidentally duplicated Hiram's memorial, that asked me to connect to him to his parents, and then researched his specific service. On noticing I had duplicated an earlier memorial, I forwarded the information to the maintainer of the original memorial, and I did not preserve the Pugh researcher's email.
His National Home ledger entry from Dayton is available on line at familysearch.org, and lists his next of kin as uncle Thomas Pugh of Rileton, Fairfield County, Ohio. This Thomas Pugh (1800-1875) was married in 1825 and 1836 in Fairfield County, (as was Eleanor Pugh in 1823 to Jonathan Jones), so perhaps that favors the connection. The ledger entry gives his birth place a Fairfield County rather than Columbiana.
Lovelady Evergreen Hello; I have a picture of the medallion designating Evergreen as a Texas Historical Cemetery. I'm not able to add it to the picture. Also the entrance doe not look like the picture you have on the cemetery. If I send you these can you change the pictures? Thanks Marty
Name of Cemetery Hello; I've noticed the cemetery is listed by 2 names. In checking the historical marker it tells "Lovelady Evergreen Cemetery". Would it be possible to get it on 1 name? Houston County cemetery book also list it Lovelady Evergreen. Thanks Marty Cash (president of the cemetery & member of Houston County Historical Comm).
