People call me SAM. I started working on my family's history in 2010. I have found alot of cousin's and other family member's who knew my family member's or know about my family's history.

I just saw my grand father Edward Albert Swan for the first time on January 12,2012 when one of my cousin's had a picture of him. I feels so good to be able to see what he looked like.

My profile picture atm is of Elizabeth Swan Ashton, her i look like her <3

Jane Bliss, memorial #94951534
Answering a photo request for this person, I located lot 9213 and photographed the stones. This is the only Jane Bliss in Green-Wood buried in 1908. But it is not the Jane Bliss suggested by any of the individuals linked to her. The Jane Bliss in 9213 was the wife of Samuel Bliss (your memorial page 94952394), but she seems to be linked to the wrong Bliss family. I have uploaded a lot photo and caption which contains the names of all buried in lot 9213 with Jane Bliss.

RE: Thanks
It was an enjoyable search on a lovely morning. It took me a while, but just as I was about to give up and leave the rest for another day - their stone shined out to me across the cemetery! Best Regards, Tammy

Grove Street Cem. New Haven, CT
Hi sam:

Thanks for all of your work. I think we may be confusing each other on the Twining/Gridley connection at Grove St. I think I have finally figured it out. If you are willing could you transfer the Twining and Gridley items to me. If not not a problem.

Rev. Kinsley Twining married Mary Ellen Gridley daughter of Rev. A. D. Gridley and Ellen M. Bristol of Hamilton, Oneida County, NY. He was involved with Hamilton College. Rev. Kinsley Twining had family connections to Yale. Of course both were ministers.
Mary Ellen Gridley b. April 3,1845 in NY and died Nov. 9, 1920.

After the death of Ellen M. Gridley in 1870 Rev. Ad. D. Gridley married the sister of Kinsley Twining, Mary Almira Twining, b. 23 Apr 1840, Addison, Vt and died April 20, 1915. She was 20 years his junior but of course through her sister in law all parties knew each other.

Rev. A.D. Gridley buried in Chestnut Hill cem.with first wife and other family members.

Hope this helps clear up the two Mary Gridley entries and shows the relationships.

Let me know if you want any more info.

Hazel Banning Hannon Putnam
Hi Sam, nice to meet you. Long story short, I came across a memorial posted by you that mentioned you did not know what had happened to Hazel Banning, b. 1902 and adopted by the Hannons in Connecticut. I looked on Ancestry and she m. Clarence Putnam and lived in New Jersey. She passed away in May, 1983 in Jackson, Ocean County, New Jersey. I hope this helps you with your research.

Best,
