Hi My name is Donna Wheat and Ollie Songer is my gg grandmother. I noticed you displayed a photo of my gg grandmothers head stone. I have sent two of my relatives to find this headstone in the Palmer Cemetery in Flatwoods cemetery. They neither one could find it. Did you see this headstone yourself or did you receive the photo from someone else. I can't make out the date inscribed on the headstone. Would love to hear from you. The headstone looks like it reads November 5 1856 but not sure. Another person made a memorial and stated it read November 5 1866.If you could be of any help I would appreciate it. Thanks Donna

I understand about obituaries all to well. I looked for an ancestor in Toledo not only following the obituary but also following the death certificate. It turned out the man was buried in another cemetery. However, This was a headstone located in Scott Union Cemetery. If it hadn't been there a memorial wouldn't have been made for John Toomey. I am not related to anyone buried in Scott Union Cemetery. His was just one of the headstones we photographed in that cemetery.

Thank you in particular for the detailed Toomey family memorials, information. I'm trying to find my friend's Toomey ancestors and am at an impasse ending with John in Champaign Co. (Born in Ireland)
