I live in Allamakee County, Iowa. I got out with my 2 little girls, 7 1/2 and 3. Most kids freak when they see a park, mine go half crazy when we drive by a cemetery.
I've always liked cemeteries, probably, because I've lost so many of my own people. I like going, because it's relaxing and peaceful. A huge de-stressor.
When I was little I found a headstone on our lower farm, I thought I was the only one who knew he was there, turns out very few do know he's there. Someday when I can get permission to go down there I'll post him. I'll put him in my virtual under Nelson Giles.
I've been interested in genealogy for a few years now, I can't say I'm super great at it, but I try. If not for the internet, I'd be lost.
I'm 34 and starting college this fall. I think I might be a little to old for school again, maybe, we'll see.
Anyway, if I can go out and take some pics for you, I'm more than happy to. If you find that I screw something up, please let me know. I go spur of the moment, so if I go I check the requests before I leave, but it never fails, soon as I get home there is another request, so, what I like to do is; take way more pics than I need to. Especially if it is a little, little cemetery.
