RE: Christoper Sailors
Thank you SO much. Now, wish I could find a document that proves William was his son. So far no luck finding probate records, will, etc., only a story in a book about Jackson County. It tells about William being chased up a tree by wolves and being rescued by an Irishman named Notty Gore. It states that William is the son of Christopher.

Christoper Sailors
Hello - I'm curious to know if you have any documentation showing that Christopher Sailors is buried in the Doster Cemetery? I know that the marker at Academy Baptist is a memorial only. Is there a marker at the Doster Cemetery? And is his wife buried there, also? Thanks!

Directions
Could you please provide me directions to DOSTER CEMETERY in Jackson County, GA. I think this may be my be my Great Grandfather #6. I have traced my 4th grandfather to Minish Cemetery in Commerce, GA and I have those directions. We are planning a trip and would like to see the grave if we can find it. His tombstone reads "Christopher Sailors, Continenetal Line, Rev War 1760 1850".

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Respectfully,
Bobby Sailors

PS: There is also a Christopher Sailors with the same Birth year and Death year at ACADEMY BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY in Jackson County. If you know anything about this Sailors or directions to the church, I would appreciate any thing you can provide.

RE: William Joseph Elder correction
I would suggest that you connect all three of his wives to his Elder Mill stone, and the owner of the Watkinsville memorial be allowed to do the same with the Watkinsville grave. You and the other owner could agree to have you clearly state on your memorial that he is buried at Elder Mill. The Watkinsville memorial owner would then firmly state that he is not buried in Watkinsville, but rather it is a stone to his memory instead than his body, which instead is interred at Elder Mill.

Ultimately, I understand your concern about his actual burial site, but he does literally have two physical stones to his memory, and each should reflect his full life which includes his many children and three wives. If you are clear where his body is, I do not see his descendants becoming confused. As it stands, it appears there are two separate William Joseph Elders when there is only one. This change is intended to reduce confusion on the technical issue of his having two gravestones.
