RE: Alice Mitchell Robinson
Nadene,

Thanks for your reply. You indicate she died either in Iowa or Nebraska. When you created her page, you placed her in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha. As I previously stated, this particular cemetery did not open until 1952, so it would not be possible for her to be buried there.

Do you know where you got the burial information? Perhaps it is a Calvary Cemetery in a different city?? I found another 15 Calvary Cemeteries in Nebraska and 43 in Iowa.

Alice Mitchell Robinson
Hi Nadene -

I am a volunteer photographer here in Omaha. I just finished photographing all of those with the surname of Mitchell buried in Calvary. Alice's maiden name came up on the Find a Grave search of Mitchell. I believe there is a cemetery error for her burial. Her name does not show on the Archdiocese online database. This database includes burials in five Omaha Catholic cemeteries. I did check for both surnames of Mitchell and Robinson. In addition, her year of death, 1902, was well before Calvary Cemetery opened in 1952. Could you do some further checking on this?

Hi Nadene ~ I'm a photo volunteer, & I have been photographing Floyd Cem, Sioux City. Just wanted to give you a heads up about the edits I sent for Dorathy. I take photos of all stones, one section at a time, so I know what lots I'm in/what headstones are nearby. I can watch for errors in the directory that way. I did check with the cemetery office before I posted the photo/edits, and their records do say she is in 102 Anx East, but her stone is absolutely in Section Julia. Just thought you'd like to know!

Hi Nadene,

I have quite a lot of obituaries mostly from Peoria County, but some that are from Marshall and LaSalle counties. If you have any name in particular, I will be glad to take a look for you. Just drop me an email.

Nadine, I think this might be my great grandmother. I have a different maiden name though, The years are all correct. I even thought she died in Connecticut. The children's names I have are Sara, Anna, Selma, Louis, and Fanny. Her husband was Mordechai then Max. Is this a match? Gail

RE: Mollie Greenstein
Nadene,

I found the headstone for the individual you are describing. I even went back to my pictures to make sure the dates match up. It is the one and same headstone that I took a picture of when I was out there on Friday.

I will post it to the tribute and if you want, I can e-mail a copy of it to you if you want it.

It's funny that I just took a stab in the dark and figured that it would be around the 1930's and they gave me two Mollie's who were buried there in that time frame.

Thanks for responding to my e-mail.

Phil

Leo Bachman Grave
Hi Nadene,
Thanks so much for taking the time to find Leo Bachman's grave, even if there wasn't a marker. I really appreciate you photographing the unmarked grave anyway. Thanks.

RE: Alonzo Tullar
nadene,
Would you believe that my husband Pete and I drove thru Wenona today, after visting a farm for apples, popcorn and more goodies. We went to lunch in LaSalle, LaSalle, Il., and on to cemetery looking for your family. Then back to Mendota, Lasalle, Lasalle, Il. to look for a grave there for someone else. We live in Mendota.
Thursday we have to transcribe a entire cemetery in Bureau Co., Il. It's overgrown and a mess, but someone might be looking for their family that is there.
Keep up the awesome search for your family, the rewards can touch your soul.
