Hello, Jim and Bonnie
You left virtual flowers on the Find A Grave memorial for James W. Payne, a brother of my great-grandfather, George W. Payne. Naturally, I wonder about your interest, and whether you are somehow related.
You may reach me directly at Dixon_Mark@verizon.net.

Hello Jim & Bonnie,
I noticed the flowers you left on John's memorial and wonder if you are related to him. I'm working on establishing my own connection to the Byars.
If you use the Edit Tab top right of the page it makes it a whole lot easier to make corrections or additions. I have made the corrections.

Hello Bonnie, so good to hear from you ! I fixed the bio, sorry about the bad information. I don't really know how my family is doing. My Dad passed away last year and the rest of them don't speak to me. I hope your doing ok! We need to keep in touch! Let me know if you need anything else changed or added or if you want me to transfer!

Hi Bonnie. As far as James Daniel the date on his stone is correct, my mother was his neice she was born in 1914 she was 15 when he died(her father is was William Humphrey Powell he is also burried where James Daniel is. As far as Anna , I email with Claude Dean Powells g grand daughter . Her Mother is still alive and was his grand daughter through his daughter Merada. When James died Claude adopted James's children and raises them with his. The story was handed down. Some one tried to tell a horriable story that Anna ran away with another man and left her children with James.. the Powell family says this is false. I have never been told though where she is burried???

Bonnie, sorry about being so late in an answer,
The Name James Jefferson Grisham came from the first book I know of that lists all cemeteries in Union County. I believe it was published in the 1970'sor early 1980's. It lists this name and the dates. The book is in the Union County library.
In this same book it also lists "twin sons" of Edgar with b&d dates of 1/5/1928.
In Jessie Carlton Grisham's obit in 2008 it is listed "He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon and Lamar Grisham; and a sister, Emma Smith.
I took this to mean Leon & Lamar were the twins.
But I was wrong.
II have changed the twins to "Baby Boy"
Let me know if you want me to change James Jefferson and I will.
