Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am interested in history, genealogy, art and the great outdoors. Of Course, Cemeteries are a wealth of all of these.

If I have made any errors, please feel free to contact me to make corrections. I edit the memorials as soon as possible. Sorry, if I'm not as fast as some people want me to be on adding information, but Work always seems to get in the way of my Hobby.
I am willing to transfer memorials to Family members, if I am not related. I was blessed with a Mother and Grandmother who loved genealogy and saved old Photos, wrote letters to find out dates and places, and tried to preserve the Family history.
And as always, Thank you for any contributions you've given.

Memorial transfers
If you would like me to transfer any of these Bevan memorials that are currently managed by me PLEASE feel free to request a transfer of them. I'm always glad to transfer memorials of mine to people who are directly related (or even indirectly to some extent).

Just please include two things on each transfer request. # 1. The Find A Grave memorial number for the memorial you would like transferred and # 2 Your Find A Grave Contributor number.

The "Other" Lamberts
You are correct. The "other" Lamberts are of Anglo descent, while mine are German, with the true surname spelling being Lampert. Nice to make your acquaintance. I spent hundreds of hours researching your "other" Lamberts to eliminate them from our line. There are many Lamberts living in Bland Co., Va. today, with the surname Lampert on their birth record, but 99% use the Lambert spelling.

Barbara Lambert Thompson
I, along with about 30 other people, have been researching this Lambert family (Wythe (Bland) County Virginia) for many years. In 2004 we published a hard-bound 600+ page book on this family. We are currently taking orders for this book in its 3rd, and final printing. If you are interested, drop me a note directly to my e-mail address, and I'll forward an ordering form & info. We will stop taking orders within the next 2 weeks, as some folks have been waiting since June. There are currently over 300 copies in print, not including 25+ libraries around the U.S. You can get a copy from the St. Louis COUNTY Library on inter-library loan. You can find info on-line for "The Lambert Family of Old Wythe County Virginia." There is also a web-site at http://www.virginialamberts.com/. Use the "Site Information" link at the top right of the home page.
