I like walking through old graveyards and cemeteries and taking photos. It is a new found hobby of mine since getting into geneology. Looking for my fathers side of the family since other family have basically sewn up my moms side. Thanks for all the hard work Aunt Babs and cousin Carolyn. Anyway still trodding through alot of my moms moms side and learning alot about myself. |
If I take a photo of a family members grave stone you may copy and use it for your geneology or records of family research. It is meant for non-profit uses only though.
I have a new hobby---whenever I fulfill a photo request I will take a look around at the other headstones and take photos of interesting ones or in particular Veterns headstones. I will come home and check to see if they are posted and if not list a memorial for our beloved Veterns. I will leave flowers for each Vetern I make a memorial and the photo of his or her stone. Hopefully someday the family will find it posted here. If I have posted a memorial of a family member- I will gladly transfer to your care. Just let me know through the edit button or posting a comment. Don't forget to provide your contributor # with transfer requests. I will even consider transfers of non family members as long as they arent my family you are requesting. I have done alot of research in finding the burial locations of my family so I prefer to keep them in my possession.
Also please let me know if you find other family members with the same name buried next to ones that I request photos for. When I find them on requests I let the family know so that THEY may post the memorial. I then upload the picture to the memorial they created and saves the time of requesting transfers and such. If you are just interested in compiling numbers then please don't claim my request. I have had too many people get rude and down right mean when I ask to have my family member to be able to link up and add information or ask them to delete one that was already posted. There are alot of very nice folks that do alot of hard work for others through find a grave let's not spoil it by being thin skinned.

F.A.G. entry # 32578130
Hello, I would like to place a Sons of Revolution (SAR) marker on his grave. Your entry indicates that his grave is unmarked. Does that mean there is no marker or that the cemetery does not know where it is?

No worries. I'll have to find out where my wifes townsends came from I know they dallied around some in Louisiana and Texas but not sure before that.
Thanks for correcting it. Sorry I reported it before reading your profile. Your work especially for veterans is much appreciated.

I have done that twice and it did not work, also tried turning it upside down to see if it would go in right side up.dd
|Donna Day||RE: Alex Whitmore|
I do not know how to turn it right side up. When I uploaded it the picture was right side up. I find this with a few other photos too. I just search questions on Find A Grave and cannot find an answer. I do not see a phone number to call either. Any suggestions? donna day
|J. A. Thomas||My apologies|
I reported an issue of a grave not knowing who posted it. Then I found your profile and appreciate the work you do. You posted a picture of my grandfathers grave. You listed him as Revrend Jared Clifford Burris but his legal name is J. C. Burris he was only given initials as all his brothers also. Jared Clifford is his eldest son.
Ironically I seen in someone else's msg to you that you have Townsend in your lineage possibly. I married a girl from TX who has Townsend as their last name.
Thanks again for the picture and hope you can correct the info.

You are very welcome! It's always fun to help. When we located and photographed Ludlam, we also photographed other members of the family. Would you like to see these photos? I tried to upload them to Find A Grave but none of these members had memorial sites. Please advise. Pat

|Ed Townsend||RE: Jehu Townsend|
We are related if Jehu is in your line. He is my 2nd great-grandfather. Jehu ,Samuel ,Edward & Wilfred.
I have most of my work in our home in Ca.,but we are in Va.until the end of May. I know I have read something that may be of help.
The Cape May County Hist. & Gen Society has a good file on the Townsend family. email@example.com.
Also Ron Townsend may have something. On Ancestry he is listed as Townsend Family Tree, ron56t. We have worked together.
I just remembered, I have a drawn family tree done by Thomas Townsend in the late 1800's that show the connection. That may help. I needs to be printed out on larger paper than 8x11 in order to read. I can send this to you.
There is a page from Elijah's bible that shows Jehu's descentants.
Would like be kept in the loop on your work.
PS; How did you find me?
