I've lived in the same small town all my life. I'm married and have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Love family research and sharing what I have found|
Just a note: The reason I have so many "memorials managed" is because a friend asked for help maintaining the memorials! Will transfer, if they are not related to myself or my husband.

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) does not like to provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.

Thank you for transferring this memorial to me. I see now Douglas shows as her birth name and think I sent that to you awhile back. But I'm sure I don't know who her parents are so that's the puzzle to work on. I'm still working somewhat on Missouri ancestry but got help on my Edwards line end of last year and found 2 generations as a result, so it's likely to be my primary focus this year. Will be back at least once, tho, to work in the Sloan Cemetery.

Hi, Anita D.: It was my pleasure to look for and record the resting place of Hubbard Collinsworth. This part of the cemetery is not run down! Mr. Collinsworth is buried in the Natural Section of the cemetery, which is forested, and it is meant to be as untouched as possible--no lawn, no raking of leaves. Not everyone who chooses to be buried in the natural section chooses to have a gravestone, either, and those who do mostly have markers that are left pretty natural, as well. You can see a few in the photograph.--JJ

I asked "Jean" about this memorial, because I could not find a MODC for him, and she transferred the memorial to me. He married my relative Amanda S Hunt(d/o Jesse Hunt & Anna Norris, also buried in this cemetery) Keeling, they married and had 1 son Thomas J Keeling b 1869 Ray Co MO
they are all 3 in the 1870 Ray Co MO census together.
by 1880 William is living in Caldwell Co MO, and is widowed and young Thomas is not with him. I was hoping, maybe Amanda & Thomas have tombstones here with William, but I have been told William does not have a stone...I have been told you are the unofficial "Cemetery Whisperer" :-) for Old Union, any info you can share would be most appreciated! thank you.
