I appreciate your kind comment on my GGGF Alexander Goodby Middleton's memorial. I also appreciate your perspective on The South, the Confederacy, and the Honorable men who served her.

Cindy, I really appreciate your very kind and thoughtful words, the nicest I have heard in a long time. If only others had an inkling in their heart of the love you have in yours, it would truly be a remarkable world in which we live. God Bless You!

I got in to big of a hurry heading out of the house for HS Graduation.
Jesse and Thomas were sons of Elisha Carroll and Sarah Brown. I'm not sure where they are buried at. Elisha died in 1840, I believe in Twiggs County, GA.

Glad I could share with you! I wish my Franklins would've stayed put - they moved all over Georgia and have been hard to track. Some passed thru Habersham; I've been trying to find the connection but it appears to be late 1700s.
Hi!! I am trying to help a cousin locate her gggrandfather who died at the battle of Chickamauga on Sept 19, 1863. Do you know if those who perished over those 3 days are all buried together? His name was James Abram Moore and he was from Suwanee, Georgia. She has been looking for a long time, we just discovered our connection on ancestry. I am more into find a grave now so I thought I would find someone from Georgia who may know the history. Thanks so much, Connie Clark (with some Georgia ancestors as well :)

You are very kind and eloquent. Your sincerity is appreciated. I saw where you looked at Levi Miller, another entry I made. Please look at Jefferson Shields in that same cemetery. He looks very much like Dick Poplar.
Thanks! - George

Thanks so much Cindy. I try to add as many as I can. I rolled my truck in the snow storm we had at the end of January so I have mostly been trying to find something else since. I have the rental until this Friday so hope I find something soon. Would rather be working on my findagrave stuff. HA!
