Bio and Links
Bio Photo "Show me the manner in which a nation cares for its dead and I will measure with mathematical exactness the tender mercies of its people, their respect for the laws of the land and their loyalty to high ideals."
Sir William Gladstone

As descendants of ancestors who endured the hardships to tame and settle this country, we have an obligation to see that those who came before us are remembered appropriately.

My goal in Find-A-Grave is to create the best memorials I can create for the people I am honoring. I add as many people as I possibly can to Find-A-Grave and then, as time permits, I do what I can to link them with their relatives and I also add an obituary or write as much of a biography as I can based on available records and information.

I welcome your reviews of the memorials I have posted, and I welcome any information you might provide to help create the best memorials we can possibly create. Every memorial that I have is a work-in-process.

Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

If you send a request for transfer of a memorial, please explain exactly how you descend, generation-by-generation, from that person. Thanks.

RE: 2nd Request - Teresa McBee - 47317250
As per your first request, I attempted to delete the bio by Timeless Spirit from Memorial 38423096 for Frances (Singleton) McBee. However, when I went in to edit the bio, your tag-line does not appear. Therefore, I am unable to access it nor delete it. Perhaps it has something to do with the merge.

Please note that I was the one who deleted your bio information from Frances's Memorial. In response to your comment that "it didn't do much good for [you] to ask F.A.G. to merge the two memorials to save all [your] research work on Frances as it is now all gone.", our family prefers not to have information posted about living relatives. I am still curious to understand why you created the second Memorial in 2012, when one already existed since June 16, 2009 created by Michelle. If you will recall, when I contacted you to notify you of the duplicate Memorial, I requested that you consider deleting it, not merging it.

I hope this satisfies your second request for deletion of you bio tag. I wish could have honored your request for deletion.

Janet LaMotte
RE: Samuel Thomas Fee
I've been working on my family history also. Researchers got some bad news from last week. Ancestry announced they are shutting down several of their websites, among them ( Ancestry is no longer going to support the old DNA test results
from their Y-chromsone raw data. Now we have to find another DNA company who can store our raw data. The raw data is used to find matches to link ancestors. Ancestry is selling a new test and is hoping the people who took the old test will now take the new one. However, many of the people who took the old DNA test are dead now. I downloaded my Dad's raw data (the DNA markers) to my hard drive until I can figure out what to do.

Thanks for the instructions. I have not done any linking so did not know about the procedures. I will ask the person who manages the son's entry to link upward.
