Hello. I was wondering if you'd consider transferring ownership of the above-mentioned memorial to me? Texana is/was my great-aunt. I have quite a bit of info and links I'd like to add to her memorial. Of course, if you feel that you can't transfer ownership, that's okay. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Best,

Hello. I was wondering if you'd consider transferring ownership of the above-mentioned memorial to me? Sammy is/was my great-uncle, after whome my father was named. I have quite a bit of info and links I'd like to add to his memorial. Of course, if you feel that you can't transfer ownership, that's okay. I will send you the info to add. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

RE: Ed Aldridge
Thanks for the thanks! I had been wanting to go to that cemetery to take photos for some time and finally got to go. It is less than 20 miles away but sort of out of the way and hard to find. My husband may have known Ed Aldridge since he also retired from Southwestern Bell after working 32 years.

Carl Hamann Children
Hello...

I research the Wegert family branches...and see you have several children noted for Carl Hamann. I know of Anna, but not of the others. Where do you get this information?

Thanks,

Jerry

Lucinda Ax
Hello Jay,
Just noticed you put a picture of Lucina's stone up. Did you travel to Kansas to get it?

You are very welcome, the cemetery is just about 2 miles from me and when I got the request I wasn't doing anything so I just ran out and took the picture I love taking pictures and can't stand the heat to do anything else much. And I also like to help anyone when I can.

RE: Ax Family
Thanks Jay for the information. I'm glad I was able to link Lucinda with her family. I will link her to Joe's grave, I've been somewhat busy and will be out of town till next week. Will take care of it when I get back. I do have quite a bit of Hawkins information, if your interested in more. This is my direct line. I think I mentioned Jonathon (Lucinda's father) and my 2nd great grand father were brothers. The Hawkins family goes back to Quakers in SC. If your looking, Jonathon Hawkins starts in 1830 in Daviess Co. and moves to Greene Co. about 1854 or so. Many brothers and sisters of Lucindia buried in Greene Co. Glad to help.
Sincerely
Judy

RE: Ax Family
Joseph Ax (born 1850/52) was first married to Lucinda Ax (1854-1880) in Greene Co. IN 9/21/1871. They had 2 sons Edward and Archibald. Lucinda was the daughter of Jonathon and Elizabeth (Aikman) Hawkins. Sometime before 1880, they migrated to Coffey Co. KS, along with Lucinda's brother William A and his family. Lucinda died 7/14/1880. Joseph then married Sarah Barnett in KS. They must have then moved to AK. You can find Joe and Lucinda in the 1880 census with only intials used. I have also put a listing for Lucinda in the Rock Creek Cemetery, Coffey Co. KS. I don't have a piture of her grave, but I do have it on a listing from the library there.
My 2nd great grandfather was the brother of Jonathon. My 2nd great granfather, William Benjamin Hawkins, and his son's and families also migrated to KS, but my line went back to IN after WB's death.
I had hoped finding Joe Ax would help me find Lucinda's brother William A, but no such luck.
Boy, that's a lot! I have more information on Jonathon's family if you want it. Also, Archibald Ax must be named after Lucinda's brother Archibald Hawkins.
I see a Lucinda Ax in the cemetery. Would she be the daugher of Joe and Sarah?
Can you tell me some about the Ax family in AK?
Sincerely
Judy
