Friends, you are invited to visit the memorial page for our son Nathan Peurifoy He died unexpectedly in October 2014 at age 26 from a diabetic coma. In six months I lost my mother and my son. Thank you all for your prayers, friendship and care. It is appreciated.
For over a year I have tried to fix a lost hotmail account. It has been blocked and it seems no avenue of correcting the problem has worked. Unfortunately, not only have I lost correction, I've lost all my emails addresses of those who have been helping. Please change my address in your account. If you can remember corrections, please help in doing so. Thank you so much. This has been very frustrating.
The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people. Suggestions are welcome but please submit them using the edit button at the upper right corner of each memorial. Even when transcribing cemeteries I work hard to link other family members. I live in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina and have work primarily in cemeteries there. My current focus is Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, North Carolina. There are 30,000 graves but only about 17,500+ listed. I've done more than 4,000 of those. Much of my family is buried there. I am also focusing on Salisbury National Cemetery Annex.
================================================= PLEASE DO NOT POST DEATH CERTIFICATES ON MY MEMORIALS. PLEASE DO NOT POST OBITUARY PICTURES, THEY ARE COPYRIGHTED. =================================================
My family can be traced back 46 generations to County Leichester, England. The family is English/Norman. They came to England with William after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The photo above is my ancestor, Sir Nicholas Purefoy, buried in The Church of St. Michael and all Angels in Fenny Drayton, Co. Leicestershire, England. The spelling of my name is the most rare of the three family groups: Purefoy, Purifoy and Peurifoy. The early Purefoys were in Jamestown, VA long before the Hugonaut movement. On my paternal side I am interested in the Peurifoy, Purifoy, Purefoy, Scott and Suther families. For my maternal side are Statons, Stiller's,and Moores (from Stanly Co, NC). My wife is from the Byrd and Carr families of Duplin County, NC. You are invited to visit the memorials of my grandmother Lillian Scott Peurifoy, my mother Hazel Staton Peurifoy and Father Robert Eugene Peurifoy.
Photos of graves are free to use. However, personal photos of individuals are copyrighted by this writer and can only be used on other sites by written request via email (not "public messages on my personal page) and acknowledgement of original owner of the photograph.
Thanks to all who help with my typo, mistakes and incorrect links. I could not accomplish this without your help.
# 12220435 Stephen Belzung Thank you for your kind acknowledgement of my son Stephen. He was the same age as your son, Nathan. He died of an accidental drug/alcohol overdose. Absolutely the most grief stricken time I have ever experienced. May the God who created all things continue to show mercy to us all. William Belzung Barling, Arkansas
Emily Eason Peurifoy I have been researching and found that Emily and John have 2 children listed, William & Elise, whose birthdates are after the death of their mother. Do you have any further info on this?
Roscoe Samuel Cook I found her headstone and added her memorial with Roscoe listed as spouse. I also got a photo of their daughter Jean Cook Yancey and will request her parents be added to her memorial. Thank you. Martha
RE: Roscoe Samuel Cook I believe that she is buried in Culpeper. Probably came here after her husband's death. Her daughter is buried at Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper. I will try to find out today. Roscoe's wife was Ruby Easter Randall Cook. She died in 2006. Martha
Roscoe Samuel Cook I believe there is an error on Mr. Cook's memorial. There is a name difference on the parents of Martha Ann Cook. Roscoe Samuel Cook was married to Ruby Easter Randall who died in 2006 in Culpeper, Va. Both Roscoe Samuel and Ruby Randall Cook were born in Watauga, N.C. and lived there most of their lives. If you have information that disputes this please excuse this note. Martha
