Find A Grave's mission is 'graves registration'. |
Please specify your relationship when requesting transfers. I am no longer transfering outside the Findagrave guidelines.
Due to the growing popularity of the website I have been getting multiple transfer requests for the same memorial from several different contributors. Trying to determine who should get the memorial is becoming difficult for me.
Find-A-Grave Policy on Transfers
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not want to make the transfer.
I am always happy to make corrections and add links when asked.

94824422 George John Lehr, Sr vs Conrad Lehr (1834 - 1912)94824422 vs George John Lehr, Jr 53808261
I posted the passenger list for all of them The
The George John Lehr,Sr family were from Hesse,Germany. He and is wife Catharina and their three of five children George, Jr, Anna "Dorothea" and Maria. They boarded SS Bremen in Bremen,Germany and arrived in the New York, May 10,1867 according to the ships Passenger Lists. But there was NO CONRAD BORN TO George John Lehr,Sr Catharine "Elisa" Elisabethe (Friederich) Lehr (Who by the way match even to her nickname in my Dad's babybook)
George John Lehr, Sr & Catharine children were
*George Lehr, Jr.*
*Anna "Dorothea" (Lehr) Huber*
*"Maria" K. E. Lehr;*
Wilhelm P G Lehr
Wilhelm was born after they came and died.they must have lost Elizabeth & Heinrich because they were not on the ships manifest.
In the 1900 census Grandpa George Lehr, Jr. said he arrived in 1867.
Now for Conrad as I said was not on any list for my Grandfather family. Conrad's parents are Johann "Jobst" Jost Lehr, II and Maria Elisabetha (Desch) Lehr
His siblings are Anna M. Kredel, I; Johann Georg Lehr; Hermann Lehr; Christian Lehr; Regina Lehr; Margaretha Lehr; Johann Jost Lehr, III; Susanna Lehr and Philipp Lehr.
According to the passenger list

Transit: Staying in the USA

They arrived in Buffalo in 1853
His brother George was born February 7, 1840
Inheiden, Hungen, Gießen, Hessen, Germany
The rest of the family stay mainly on the east coast and maybe as far as Michigan. Grandpa's family went to Mt Carroll, Smith center KS. Plus Grandpa's birthday was January 8, 1841.
So please make the needed corrections CONRAD IS NOT GEORGE JOHN SENIORS SON.
I posted the passenger list on all three men's pages please fix what is needed.

My Dad, John Henry Willis 1887-1954 is buried in the Silverdale Cemetery. In 2013 my Mother, Dorothy King Willis Gregg, died and her cremated remains were buried in the same plot as Dad's. We bought a new stone, to replace the old stone, which now includes my Mother's name. Would you please add the new burial information to Find A Grave. Also, Judy would you check to find a grave for my Uncle, Jessie Lee Willis, who is buried in the Silverdale Cemetery. Jesse Lee Willis died in 1911 and according to his obituary he was buried in the Silverdale Cemetery.
Thank you so much and hope to hear from you.
Stephen Willis (Steve Willis) Carmichael, Ca.

Please remove the nickname,
I discovered a major error on the tree I am working on. Looks like Conrad may have to go. Looks like he had a weed wife hence weed siblings for his son George Lehr. I am so glad I created a new tree that wasn't connected to and started a fresh to see if I could find more info on different members of the family. I wish people would do some double checking with census and timelines. It is all well and good to add like a database but is it right is the next question. I had one that took me over six months to untangle. At least now this one matches the tree that was in my baby book. So far Gr Gr Grandpa is correct himself and George is fine. I'll let you know about Conrad. So far on the correct tree he is not there.

|Chanda Keith||Alice Elizabeth Hoyland Goforth|
I found the picture and information you have up for Alice Elizabeth Hoyland Goforth. I was wanting to see where the information that she was a Hoyland came from. I have an Alice Elizabeth Goforth on my family tree born October 17, 1862 based on information from her father's Union pension record, and I'm wondering if this is her. The grandparents she was living with in 1880, Cornelius and Alice Goforth are buried in the Burden cemetery and so is one sister that I've been able to confirm the identity of, Lucy Ellen Goforth Livingston.
|Chanda Keith||Mary Jane Goforth Flinn|
I was wondering how you know that Mary Jane's maiden name was Goforth? I'm thinking this might be a cousin of mine, Mary J. Goforth, born September 29, 1871 based on her father's union pension application but I would like to know for sure.
|Dominique Potier||Edwin C Yeary # 41342548|
My name is Dominique Potier and I'm a Belgium Active Soldier . I'm doing a free work about my heroes , the WW2 US Airborne . I'm thinking Mr Edwin C Yeary was a 101st Airborne Medic and a POW during the Battle of the Bulge . Do you have more info about him ?
