You meet all kinds of people on Findagrave... most of whom are helpful and co-operative. Just spending a few minutes a day on Findgrave can provide a great deal of genealogical input. Thank you for your co-operation! If I can assist anyone, please contact me.
My father, David Kennedy, was an avid genealogical researcher, so you could say, this was one of my inherited interests. He started his search in 1959 after meeting then Senator John F. Kennedy in Washington, DC. He asked my father if we were Catholic or Protestant Kennedys, after which Senator Kennedy suggested that since we were not Catholic, we must have entered the US via Northern Ireland. And the search continues...
Some of my direct lines are Kennedy, Clayton, Merritt, Head, Prothro, Crouch, Wright, Goodwin, Bledsoe, Breazeale, Smith, Guyton, Moorhead, Kirksey, Wyatt, Griffin, Richardson, Meyer, Johnston, Lott, Knox, Gaston, Barnett, Ray, Sharp, Alverson. I have been working on my genealogy since the 1990s. I always try to give credit to those who have done genealogical research ... just a very common courtesy.... Thanks y'all.

|Lydia Wood James||Maggie C. Rice|
I just wanted to let you know I made the changes you requested to Maggie C. Rice's listing. At first I thought the last name change erroneous, but after seeing the later obituary for her mother that mentions Maggie specifically as "Miss Maggie C. Rice", I corrected the error. I have no idea how she got placed as William Hoyt's wife in the transcription I have been working from. I did not do the transcription myself, and it could be that the record taker was sloppy. My apologies.
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

It is a small family cemetery. My husband and I took pictures of all markers in the cemetery.

Can you send me the website link?

No, but you can order the DC from SC Vital Records in Columbia, SC for $12 ea.

I've never heard of it. Just guessing I'd say Mr. McCormick wanted to be buried on his own property and they've named it McCormick Family Cemetery. Also,I believe this would be Barnwell County. Check with Mole Funeral Home. They are very nice and helpful. Let me know the outcome. Sandy

Hi Fran, Thank you so much for all of the photos that you took of the Mixson Family in the Williston Cemetery. It is such a wonderful gift that you give to those of us that cannot travel to other states to obtain records on our ancestors. God bless you for the work that you do, Margaret
