Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Carol and I reside in N.E. Atlanta.

My Dad began this amazing journey in finding our heritage. While on this journey we had discovered so many relatives and friends.

Peternal Lineage ...

Hape ~ Rogers ~ Puderbach ~ Putnam ~ Gibbs ~ Hall ~ Naill ~ Ecker ~ Engel ~ Reifsnider ~ King ~ Robbins ~ Thompson ...

Maternal Lineage ...

Hunt ~ Edwards ~ Harris ~ Brown ~ Clay ~ Simmons ~ Wingate ~ Maddox/Maddux ~ Knott ~ LeSueur ~ Stinson ~ Hopper ~ Bryant ~ Harper ~ Wyatt ~ Tyler ~ Strother ~ Shy/Shi ~ Chastain ~ Hancock ~ Batte ~ Birchett/Burchett ~ Judkins ~ Polk ~ McLarty ~ Eidson ~ Daniell ...

Most of these memorials are based on personal research from my family history (birth, death, marriage, military & other records). Other information was taken from grave markers or obituaries that I've discovered over the years. Cannot guarantee the accuracy of all these memorials, but believe most of them to be correct.

Will be glad to make memorial transfers upon request that is if related. Would very much like to hear from you and should you have any additional information and if there are any corrections to be made, please let me know.

George M. Brown
I went on my 2nd. great grandfather, George M. Brown, who was killed in the Battle of Cold Harbor, VA in 1864. I notice that incorrect parents and siblings had been put onto his memorial. I sort of trace backwards on the siblings and finally got to the memorial of your 3rd. great grandfather, Hiram Brown but was never able to find out where you connected in this Brown family tree since all the inf I had on you was Georgia Girl. George M. Brown was the son of Jesse Brown. He was born 1825 in SC probably Anderson Co. and died 1864 VA. Jesse Brown b. 1795 Surrey Co., NC & d. about 1841 GA. Jesse was the son of George Brown & Rachel Felton. George Brown b. 1770 Surrey Co., NC d. 1845 Anderson Co., SC, we do not know who our George's parents are but his grandparents were David Brown & Sallie Hurricane Brown & his great grandparents were Jacob Brown & Elizabeth.

Don't know if you fit into my Brown family tree but alway searching for ancestors and answers for missing links. My grandmother was Sarah Levisey "Sallie Vicey" Brown daughter of Isham Jack Brown & Mahala Jane Ivey of Georgia.

Hi, I added obit for Carol Sue. Thanks for contacting me, didn't have a way to contact you since you were no longer on Find A Grave and Find A Grave was maintaining your memorials. Glad you are back. Maggie

John C. Maddox/Maddux research
Dear Carol,

I have some specific information taken from the wills of the John C. Maddox (1791 - 1863) who died in Putnam County, and the John Maddux (1785-1872) who died in Jasper County and whose will specifically names his wife Sarah and sons Abraham B., James L, and Simeon. I would be very glad to share this with you--please email me at

Thanks for all your hard work in establishing so many Maddox/Maddux memorials!

Adecia " Daisy" Mattox Hearn
I am very interested in the issue with the Mattox cemetery .

Adecia " Daisy " Mattox was my 3rd grandmother .
I have been told that John Comfort Maddox is not her father.

I would appreciate anyone getting back with me .
