If you have time, please leave a flower for two special ladies that were part of my life, my grandmother who got me started in genealogy and my mother who passed away too early and because of this gave me my drive to want to know where I came from. Thank you and may God bless you.

Capt Robert Paul Schott and the rest of the 304th Rescue Squadron aircrew members, who lost their lives on board aircraft King 56, while performing a training mission on the night of November 22, 1996.

These men were Citizen Soldiers committed to the preservation of the heritage of their nation. Because of this tragedy, we lost some of the soul of our country. You will not be forgotten.

Sgt Thomas Stevens WILLIAMS, Sr.
Greetings!
We have an interesting confluence of conflicting information which I'd like to help sort out.
Sgt Thomas Stevens Williams Sr., (b 2 Jan 1827, d 18 Mar 1860) was killed at Bitter Springs, CA. He was buried there by his companions. See the article at:

http://cdnc.ucr.edu/cgi-bin/cdnc?a=d&d=SDU18600402.2.6&e=-------en--20--1--txt-txIN--------1

I shall attempt to make a short life-story offering for inclusion in the future.

I will suggest that the 'Sgt' should be dropped if possible since it complicates finding him.

The F.A.G. Mem# 33282939 lists him as being buried at Soda Spring, ID - which is incorrect. I have, this morning, spoken to Mr. Jeff Anderson, sexton of the Fairview Cemetery at Soda Springs, ID. He confirms that they do NOT have Williams SENIOR at their facility, though they do have two of SR's wives, some of their children AND, TSW, JUNIOR is in residence at Fairview Cem. However, there is no evidence the body of Williams SENIOR was ever removed from CA and taken to ID.

In addition, Kat Carter has created a separate memorial for TS Williams Sr - it is F.A.G. Mem# 97474477. I shall contact her with this same information and let the two of you decide what to do. One of these should go away. Carter's is less specific about Williams.

Hi there,

I resubmitted in the Edit Panel his actual date of death. You declined it prior. The date of death that you have is his burial date. Sandy Frary (SRRC archivist) whom I've been helping out looked at his death certificate per my request last week and confirmed that his death date as it states in her story that you kindly approved and added to his bio is November 3, 1906.

Please approve the DOD in the edit panel that way it will show as approved in my list of edits.

Thanks,

Wendy

Just wanted to be sure you knew about the edit tab that shows edits sent to you. I sent edit on Edward on 3/17 that is still pending. If you don't choose to accept or decline within 21 days of the edit, it will automatically accept without any notice to you. Thought you would prefer to review them yourself. Let me know if you have any questions on the edit -- info came from death certificate I posted.

Thanks..
Linda

James William Strong
As a followup to my previous question, have any descendants of James William Strong been DNA tested?

James William Strong
I am intrigued with the memorial to James William Strong, b. 20 April 1862, d. 23 January 1897, buried Salt Lake City Cemetery. My great-grandfather was James William Strong, b. 20 April 1862 in Crawford County, AR, son of Samuel L. Strong and Hannah Harper. When he was 18 years old, he married Bell Heather and had a daughter Rosetta Strong in 1881. Bell died, and James William married Georgiana Atwell in 1884. They had one child, Thomas Tolliver Strong in 1885. He was my grandfather. According to Georgianna, JWS died 23 January 1886 of hydrophobia and in 1887 she married Green Buster. There is no record of JWS's death, no obit, no grave, and our family has real doubts about "Grandma's story". It is just too much of a stretch to believe we're talking about two different men here. Can anyone help me figure this out? Could it be the same man?

Walter Barney # 10451193

I have been researching Walter Barney's (1819-1917) name. I can find no records with a middle name. I think someone has just added the Warren or Warden to FamilyTree and Findagrave. Was it that way when you received maintenance? He has a LDS membership, death cert., battalion and other documents and histories with just Walter. Walter Warden Barney (1850-1926) was his son and Walter Warren Barney (1881-1920) was his grandson. Just thought I would point this out. Do you think a correction should be made? Are you related to him? I am related to his wife, Caroline Haws. Thank you, Sharon Haws Jewkes (Sunflower Lady)
