I bacame a doner to Find-a-grave about April of 2009. I found the site while researching my family name and ran across my Uncle's grave that someone else had added so I added a few pictures. Then I started adding other family graves so that I could link them together. Well I am an avid "picture taker" and this just got me started... I had already taken a few pictures of gravestones for research and I had already converted several old family photos to digital files. Needless to say I have enough photos to keep me going for quite some time. Most all of the graves that I have added are of family or close fiends. If you find one that needs correction or that might be closer to your family please let me know and I will be happy to transfer it to you or at least add your information to the site.|
Family Names: LOWERY/LOWRY, GRAMLING, KEEVER, CHARLES, HEROD, COLSTON, HARDIN, GARRETT, LENARD, MORRIS, BIVENS, MANNING, COFFEE, MILLER, BRADSHAW, BAKER, FAGANS, BRAND, WINN, CAUTHRAN, GASSAWAY, FOSTER, REEL...

I went back to Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Mission Rd in Cartersville. I found Mr Garrett's US Army plaque located there. If you want to change his cemetery location from Mt Zion in Acworth to Zion Hill in Cartersville, I will then add his photo to the site. Please let me know. Linda

I show an M Dillard Garrett at the Mt Zion Baptist Church in Acworth, GA and a Dillard M Garrett at the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, off Mission Rd in Cartersville, GA, in Find A Grave. Both have the same dates and WWII info. I took photos at the Mt Zion cemetery, but did not find Mr Garrett. I will try to get back to the Zion Hill cemetery within the next few weeks. If I find Mr Garrett's headstone, I will let you know.

Thank you for your information for a memorial for Lula Wilson Garrett. Are you per chance a relative of her's that you know this information about her family history? Larkin Wilson, who was married to Catherine Johnson, was my husband's 3rd great-grand aunt & uncle. I'm curious about something you wrote here that Lula lived with her uncle, named Howard Wilson? Could this be Larkin Hardeman "Hardy" Wilson? I don't have a Uncle Howard Wilson listed. We had heard that Lula was raised by her grandmother, Catherin Johnson Wilson.
Can you offer more details? I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi Glad to see you have been adding to find a grave I am Zara Garrett Mercer the baby daughter of Carl Edward Garrett & Lona Mae Roberts Garrett .

Yes, it has been a while. I bounce from Ancestry to Find A Grave and back. Had some luck in finding my gggparents in AL. Went to the Sweat Family reunion in Glenco, Al. this weekend. Met more Sweat(t)s and hope to make a few more trips and meet more. Most have been decendents of my grandfather siblings.
Do you know where the "Old Town Cemetery" is at Canton? Found an obit in the book by John Carver. Said that Nancey Hendrix died in 1887 was buried by her husband in the old town cemetery and that he had passed away about 10 years earlier.
Hope I didn't miss the Hendrix or Lowery reunions. Have to look back through the emails and try to find.
Keep in touch:)

Thank you so much for your kind words. Sometimes I think I'm just wasting a bunch of time on here, so it's really nice to hear that I've helped someone. I updated the memorials for you.

I went back to the cemetery today and they had a gravestone put there, so I took a picture and added it to his memorial.
I thought you might like to see it.
