Originally from central New Jersey, I've been living in California since 1991. I'm a volunteer cemetery photographer and am not related to most of the people I have added. Entries are posted in the interest of history and genealogy, and the hope that someone will add my ancestors (Applegate, Paladino, Stahl, Bunting, Roninger (Ronocher), Hutchinson, Richardson, Coleman, Wilson, Flock, Krauter, ...).
For those of you who send me bios, obits, linkages, etc. . . THANK YOU! They are greatly appreciated. Please include the source of the information provided. If no source information is provided, I will list your contributor name/number as the source.
Please use the EDIT tab on a memorial if you find any errors that need correction, you wish to add a biography, or are requesting a transfer. This will ensure that the requests made will be completed on the correct memorial.
My photos may be used for non-profit (personal) purposes only. All I ask is that any photos I have posted be credited with my name.
Find A Grave Memorial #63175968, Sophina Ellen "Ellen" Bond Reed Sophina's parents are not John Crane Bond and Nancy Green Stice Bond. They are the grandparents with John Crane Bond the stepgrandfather. The parents are Jesse Walton Bond (1825-1935) and Sarah Elizabeth Terry. Jesse Walton Bond was a son of John Crane Bond from a previous marriage. Nancy Green Stice was married to Andrew Terry in 1827. They had four children and Andrew died in 1836. Their children were: George Washington Terry (1828-1885), Sarah Elizabeth Terry (1829-1854 ((mother of Sophina)), Minta M. Terry (1831-1866) and Child Terry (1833-1836). Nancy remarried to John Crane Bond in 1844. He also had children from a previous marriage. John Crane Bond was previously married to Mary Grimsley (1800-1861) and Mary Singleton (1803-1842). The siblings of Sophina are: Edwina C Bond (1849-1919) and John Crane Bond (1853-1941). Check the year of birth on all persons to ensure they match the relationship. Jesse Walton Bond was born in 1825 and was the youngest of the John Crane Bond and Mary Grimsley children. Sophina and Benjamin Reed had three children: Maud Reed (1877-?), Edward F Reed (1880-1968), and James William Reed (1885-1951). I hope this helps. You can contact me if you have any questions. I wanted to send this to you privately but couldn't see a way to do it. My apologies. Thank you for all your work. Don Terry
Sibley's in Porterville Cemetery There are two unnamed graved identified as sibley, with unknown dates. I am hunting for Steven Sibley, and his son Harry, they were both in the 1870 census, Harry being 3, but in the 1880 census there mother is remaried to a Lewis, and Harry is nolonger listed. There other two children (Angie, and Wilfred) are located there.
It looks like father and son might have died together in some sort of accident, but I can find nothing.
Was hoping you might have any other pieces of info that might help.
All my research can be found here. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Strout-475 (also trying to figure out who Hattie is)
Jeff Co MO Poor Farm No. It is not a duplicate. I ALWAYS check before I post, It must have been moved from "unknown" , which is not the right thing to do...When someone does the work to find out where someone is buried and correctly posts their burial there, and then later some else finds that memorial and moves their earlier post in an "unknown" burial location to the correct place. Does not make the correct one a duplicate!!! This web site is called FINDAGRAVE.COM I think that means to post a memorial you are actually suppose to FIND the correct burial location BEFORE you post a memorial...That is why when people post memorials to findagrave with an "unknown" burial location, they really do a disservice to those of us who really do the work...I'm tired...I mean I wish they would look up find in the dictionary, It means to LOCATE...
Amanda/Stacy Brown and family Hi! I am doing a stone by stone walkthrough of Windsor Cemetery in Windsor NJ. So you will see many changes happening. I saw the obit that you put on Amanda Brown's entry. I found her son Milton and his wife Lizzie. I added pages and photos for them and link him to his parents. I also found Milton's son Amos and on his right his wife Jermina (Mina) and added their photos to their pages. One question - I found a Florence E. Brown (1899-1922) on Amos's left. Is she Amos's first wife or is she an unmarried sister?
Mystery Research I would like to know if you have any additional information to offer for this burial?

I am searching for the grave of my GGG Grandmother Mary Elizabeth Holden Sawyer. Her husband was buried in CA, and he was a veteran. I am wondering if she came back to Nebraska and passed away and they had her laid to rest there. Otherwise, I haven't been able to find any burial information for her anywhere. Thank you
Thaddeus McFadden Dear Linda, Thank you for the excellent photo and report on the family of Thaddeus McFadden. His wife Margueritte was a long lost aunt of mine whom I never met. In the photo on the site I notice that next to his grave stone is a very similar one but as the grave stones are flat I cannot tell if it belongs to Margueritte. The photos were taken in a cemetery in Merced, California. Thanks for any help. Rob Wilcox
