I have my mother to thank for my interest in old historic cemeteries. She used to take my sisters and me for picnics to cemeteries and we would read headstones and epitaphs and take rubbings. She was always drawn to the unique and unusual stones. As I grew older, I too, felt drawn to cemeteries and unique, unusual memorials long after my mother had passed away.

I am also very interested in ancestry and have traced my roots back on almost all sides to and beyond the Mayflower. I have direct bloodlines to family in every war with my entire line being Union, not a Rebel in the bunch.

I am a double Mayflower descendant with a direct line to John Howland through 2 of his daughters, Hannah and Desire to my father and my mother. I am interested in the family names of Williams, Mecray, Postal and Jenks.

I moved to Audubon, NJ in July 2014. I love my American History.
