A Texan's family tree is like a beautiful rose with many fragrant petals, but with any rose, you have thorny branches that needs pruning on occasion....the same goes with families.
Beatitudes of the Family Genealogists:

Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, For they tell the story of their time. Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, For this provides proof. Blessed are the grandmothers who preserved family Bibles and diaries, For this our heritage. Blessed are fathers who elect officials that answer letters of inquiry, For some, this is their only link to the past. Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, For one of her children will surely remember. Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, For them who owe the family history. Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, For theirs is a labour of love. Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."written by Unknown;

Texanna Bicknell
Long shot but I keep coming up with Texanna Bicknell when searching Texanna Fielder. Could this be Fielder instead of Grau?

RE: Myrtle Lee
That would be perfectly fine with me. I'd be interested in knowing how you were related to her.

Absolutely. Feel free to use anything I post. I want to share genealogy and the history of our people, not sell it!

Elbert M Voss
Hi Nancy. Elbert was my great-grandfather and his middle name was not Mark. It was Merk. Please correct the findagrave name.

Thank you.

Faulk and Hoffpauir Families
Nancy, Hello! My name is Christina Ray-Duncan and I have been researching the Faulk and Hoffpauir Families from Louisiana. I see your name on several of the Memorials I have been to, so I know we are related somehow and decided to contact you. I see that you have added 12,000 + memorials, WOW! Thanks for all the work you have done.
I have found the hoffpauir's to be especially hard to figure out, so many have the same names, born about the same time and some of them married hoffpauirs...ugh
Anyway, if you would like an invite to my tree at Ancestry please email me at
I look forward to hearing from you.

Davis Family Center Grove, Titus Co., TX
Have transferred them all to you, Nancy. Enjoy !!

Was wondering if you have any Davis connection to William McKinley Davis buried in Nevill's Chapel Cemetery or know any more about his family/children.
Find A Grave Memorial# 65523325

My great grandmother Sarah Emaline Hefner Lunsford Davis was his last wife and they married in their 80's. I remember them both well. She is buried in Center Grove by her Lunsford husband.

Amanda Bicknell Mastin
I have just added Amanda Bicknell Mastin to Find A Grave and connected her to her mother & father. She is listed in the Grayson County, VA, Cemeteries book in the Thomas Marion Cox Cemetery at Mouth of Wilson, VA. There are several unknown field stones in the cemetery. Thought you might be interested in this information since you manage the memorials of Larkin & Marinda Bicknell. Do you happen to know the connection of Amanda Bicknell Mastin to Thomas Marion Cox family?

Davis family in Center Grove Cemetery
Nancy, would you want to manage the Davis memorials in the Center Grove Cemetery, Titus Co., Tx? If so, please send me a request for transfer.
I made some entries in 2007 but another person has come behind and entered two duplicates.
That contributor needs to delete them. Maybe you can help.

You're very welcome for the transfer. I don't know how long you waited but I found your request buried in emails !! My apologies for missing seeing it when you first sent.
Let me know if you want any others.

Alfred Luke Lunsford
The kinship report says I am Alfred's 2nd half cousin twice removed. That's confusing to me but I remember seeing him, we called him Luke, and Luisa at all of the family reunions and funerals as well as his parents, Edgar and Lois.
Our elders are all gone now and I sure miss those gatherings.
