We believe our ancestors want to be found, as much as we want to find them.|
We have photographs of all the headstones in The Abbey Cemetery, Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland, as well as, a complete copy of the "Register of Internments of The Abbey Cemetery", and are in the process of uploading them all. (July 2011)
We have photographs of all the headstones in the Hickman Cemetery and the Holland Cemetery, Lancster County, Nebraska. We also have been given permission to photograph the complete Internment Register for the Holland Cemetery, and will be uploading all of the above soon. (September 2011) Project completed January 2012.
All photos we posted are yours to have and share! We found many of our relatives on FAG, that we never would have found on other sites, so we want to 'give back' by volunteeing our photos. We hope you find your 'grandpa', too. FAG is an excellent way for people to help people find their relatives.
April 14, 2012: The message from Jeanine will be left up. I have a rather lengthy reply, but invite others to view the 2 memorials in question and comment at will: Herbert Fehr #83536480 and Ferdinand Fehr #83536479. In a nut-shell, the boys died 129 years ago, as infants, and there ARE no biographies loaded.

I have recently added nearly 250 cemetery pages for Galway with GPS locations and currently trawling through this site for any I have missed and alternate names that may be given.

You have my permission to use the photos. I'm glad they are useful to you.

I just posted a picture for Agnes... I guess she gets the last laugh, since no one put her dates on the stone!

Ella's maiden name was Arnold. As far a I have found Ella and Marion were not related (other husband and wife) Marion's family came from Indiana and Ella's family came from Wisconsin.
Ella was my mother in laws gg aunt by blood and Marion by marriage.

Thank you---your email was so much help! I know exactly which land he farmed because he homesteaded it and I have the records. You have given me the next step and I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it.
I also wanted to tell you that my Grandmother was born Lucy Van Dyke---she was the kindest most amazing person I have ever known.
Thank you again!

I noticed that you said that you uploaded the entire interment record for the Holland Cemetery.
My (great great) grandfather and grandmother were buried in the Holland Cemetery, Lancaster Co. NE. Adriaan and Maria Van De Wege (also could be Adrian and Mary and could be Van Der Wege) They died between 1900 and 1910 and I'm guessing he may have died in 1901.
I can't seem to find them so I am wondering if they were not listed in the interment record or if I have just not searched properly.
I would really appreciate any help you could give me.

I still don't know who we are talking about here because I have worked on so many memorials, but did your mom and dad already have a memorial and I submitted another one? It kinda sounded that way in your message. I search every way I know how for someone's memorial before adding a new one but a couple of times, I didn't locate it and added another one. Of course I went back and deleted it. Thanks for the offer of the two death certs. How can I get my email to you without it going public?

Hi Mary, I don't mind at all that you don't want to show the cause of death. However, I have worked on so many of these all day for the past several days, would you please send me the memorial numbers of the people you mentioned?

Yes. Find A Grave did not send out any notifications of it. Found it in their help section. Have noticed a few other people are spreading the word.
Should make editing much easier though.

Not sure if you are aware that Find A Grave has placed a new "edits" tab on the top of your contributor's page for suggested changes.
Please check your edits for the changes I have sent on Arthur.
