Presently, January 2008, I live in New York City, where I have lived since 1955, and for the past 40 years have lived at the same address on West 82nd, a half block from Central Park, and block from the American Museum of Natural History.|
When I retired in 1990 from UNA/USA, where I worked for 23 years, I wondered what next! Music
was and still is very important to me, but who wants to hear a 65 year old singer/actor perform.
I decided to learn more about my ancestry, which at that time I knew practically nothing other than my immediate family. I purchased a "Town & County Chrysler", grabbed my camera, and took off looking for relatives of which I found many more than I expected. Visiting with them was really great and I recorded much information. I also found that cemeteries held a world of information. I loved this new adventure.
I was born May 25, 1925 on a farm in Erie, Neosho
County, Kansas. My father had to hitch up the horse and buggy to go for the Doctor. The Doctor came in his own buggy from Galesburg a few miles away. And would you believe, he only charged $25. Oh well, those were the "good Old Days". From Erie we moved to Dade County, Missouri in the Cousin City Community, which was on Route 2, Greenfield, Missouri, where my Brother Gene and I when to the Mt. Zion grade school, and then to Dadeville High School in Dadeville, MO were we graduated in 1943.
From there we went into service, Gene into the Infantry and I into the Army Air Corp. After being discharged, i went to live in Watsonville, CA. where my parents were living and I went Hartnell College in Salinas, CA., and from there to San Jose State University where I graduated in 1955.

In doing my research it led me to your findagrave memorial #25566103 for F. Anderson Fox. I love it when people add as much info on here as they can. But I found an 1880 census with his 2nd wife Caroline showing 3 children you listed as "their" children were his step children that she had.
1880 Sac, Dade, Missouri
Anderson Fox 67
Caroline Fox 47
Casbin Fox 22
Henry Fox 16
Martha L. Fox 4
John C. White 19 stepson
Charles D. White 16 stepson
Cora E. White 12 stepdaughter
My father's family came to Mo in the 1860's and then most settled in Dade Co, MO after that. So it seems I have kin married into most of Dade Co, MO in some form or fashion. My biggest surnames would be Asbell, Blankenship, Dickinson and Shelton.
Thanks so much for all you have done on the memorials.
Nichole Shelton Rowland

Dear Mr Tefertiller,
Thank you for all the photos and information that you have supplied for many of us on the Langford folks.
This is a gift that will keep giving generation after generation. SO much would have been lost if it had not been for your work and unselfish sharing.
My Grandmother Sarah May Redman Morrow was the sister of John Lyon Langford's 2nd wife, Laura Ida Redman 1892-1970). MORROW Family Tree.
Much of your information and photos are used by me and others. I give you the credit for all of this.
Thanks for the link to Delia's parents!
