|Genealogy has been a topic of interest since college when a Kansas History course required either a term paper or a family history; the family history topic intrigued me more than any other random topic available.|
Since that time, I have continued to search out my extended family as well as work closely with the Kinsley Public Library to document those early settlers of Kinsley and Edwards County, Kansas who moved west to grow up with the country.
Whenever possible, I have found obituaries to 'flesh-out' my family members as well as those early settlers.
This avocation is truly an enjoyable journey and I have been fortunate to meet some wonderful individuals along the way.

You're welcome. My friend and I were researching the family for a friend. Luella's maiden name was Witherspoon.
THANK YOU for adding my relative John TerVehn to Find A Grave. I was wondering if you noticed his brother Frank TerVehn at that cemetery?

I found another obit for this gentleman that might help you find his other two sons. Would you care for it? I believe one son is buried in Rock Creek Cemetery. Linda

My pleasure! Your info cleared up the mystery of who this was. The death index listed "Jas. LaFonda," so I thought his name was James. The indexer obviously thought the handwritten "o" was an "a". I appreciate your help!
Thank you for trying to find a marker for Ivan. I figured it would be a long-shot but every once in a while the unexpected shows up!

Thank you for trying to locate William Barr's grave. Strange that there is no marker, but I appreciate the effort!
