At Beaverdam Church Cemetery. She has a stone and his buried beside her FIRST husband, William Crawford Justice at the same cemetery. She married Ayers after Justice died.

You have Harrison Swink listed as the father of Asberry Swink. Harrison is his grandfather. He is actually the "illegitimate" son of Harrison's daughter Mary "Polly" Swink.
There is a “Bastardy Bond” that is dated October 23rd 1878 found in the NC Archives that shed’s light on the birth of Asberry. On this bond it is stated that John Prewit was charged in a case of bastardly on the body of Mary Swink. It was witnessed by P. P. Mull and signed by Mary –x- Swink and her father Harrison –x- Swink.

You have a memorial flower that states she was a Wright and not a White. Can you please let me know your finding to support the surname "Wright"
Please just click on any of my memorials and send me a response message regarding Memorial 38437238 Hattie E. Canipe

I have no idea on a name for Rich Mountain Baptist Church in Watauga County as you reference. Remember, death records from years ago, even into the mid 1900s, may have a cemetery name that was existing then, but has since been changed to something else. Also, back in the early 1900s after death records were created in NC the register of deeds folks or Health Dept folks put down what the funeral home told them or the relatives told them, which could be in error.
The 2 Rich Mountain cemeteries in Burke County are the ones to be merged.
If you have other questions you probably need to contact Findagrave at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask them what to do.

Once you create a cemetery it can only be deleted by Find A Grave, and even then they leave it as a name and merge any record to the correct one. Don't know why they can't or won't remove the old one, but am sure it's something to do with how they compile and maintain data. I gone ahead and sent Find A Grave an email asking them to delete or merge the names of the cemeteries to Rich Mountain Baptist Church.
As to moving a burial to another cemetery, click on the "Edit" tab on the upper right of the memorial you want to change the cemetery location. The 3rd panel will be the death data and shows the cemetery name (highlighted). Right next to the cemetery name it shows "Edit Burial Info" so click on that and it comes up with another panel for burial and it should be "cemetery burial" so click "continue" and it will come up with the cemetery name, country, state, and county. Start typing in the new cemetery name (it stops after so many letters) and then click on the correct state and county and it will come up with one or more cemeteries that begin with the letters you entered and all you need to do then is click on the button which shows the correct cemetery.
Kind of a roundabout way of making a change, but it's how Find A Grave does it.

I descend from LD and Sarah Willis Wesson. I notice that you have his middle name as Dowell, but it was Dow. He was named Lorenzo Dow after a famous preacher in the early 1800s in the area. Also, his mother was Mary G. Webb, not Webber, based upon numerous documents we have. I am letting you know this so you can consider correcting his Find-a-Grave profile. I posted photos of his and Sarah's graves as there were none yet posted.
If you are a relative/descendant, please contact me, as I would be happy to learn of a new relative!
Thank you for transferring Ida Sailers to me. Also, thank you for the many hours of your day you give to Find A Grave. This is a very useful tool, for people doing family research, made possible by people such as yourself. Namcy

Hi Gene: A few weeks ago I visited a small family owned cemetery near the base of Linville Falls in Avery County, North Carolina. I found the headstones for Arnold Lee Penland Sr., Clara Penland, Eula Penland, Laura Penland and John Stokes Penland at this family cemetery. You have them listed at a Penland Family Cemetery in Mitchell County, North Carolina. The cemetery I visited was not on Findagrave, so I set up the cemetery under Penland Family Cemetery, Newland, Avery, North Carolina. I didn't add the above mentioned memorials because I thought that you would like to retain ownership of the memorials. And I don't know how to transfer memorial from one cemetery to the other. If you would like to transfer them into the correct cemetery, I will add the pics of each headstone for you. Also, if you are related and would like me to transfer the memorials that I have set up to you, I will be more than happy to do this.
