Bio Photo Welcome 2016!!

As you can see I am still in Colorado (currently snowing and in the teens) and still dreaming of Oregon and its waterways, bridges, moss covered trees, and yes the rain.. I am looking forward to a possible trip back to Oregon later this year for at least a week.

I have worked with and enjoyed communicating with a number of great volunteers in both Colorado and Oregon and consider them my friends and FAG family. With that in mind this year has also brought me a few nasty volunteers that I have had to have FAG block from emailing me. Please if you are one of these move on no communication is required and leaves more time for me to help the ones that need and appreciate my help. Also, I don't believe I need help on how to load memorials – after over 50,000 memorials managed I think I have it down.

I enjoy helping people with finding and linking their families – investigating is in my blood. I also enjoy filling photo requests as you can tell by my over 2,500 currently taken. So if you need my help please let me know but please be considerate on the number asked at a time so I can help others who need my help. Also, if I tell you the grave is unmarked or the loved one was never buried at the cemetery, this was only brought to your attention after asking at least two people in the office and checking out the site myself to insure the information is accurate. I find I have a great working relationship with all the cemeteries I currently work with.

Transfers! If the name is Bolejack, Bolerjack, Pomeroy, Campbell, Deboard, Dickey, Hodges, Weddle, Francis, Barrett, Bennett, Boyde, Doyle, Braning, or Robinson – don’t bother asking. Or if I put a flower “ Family” – please don’t ask it just takes time away from what I am currently doing. With that said – I don’t believe in hording other volunteers family members. Sometimes it might take me a few days to answer but I do try and answer as quickly as possible. I also will not transfer when you have a proven history of poor updating and editing memorials skills. I believe that the loved one and their family members deserve someone that is prepared to take care of them.

Outside of FAG I am the proud grandmother of twin granddaughters and three grandsons. And if they don’t keep me busy enough I have two twin nephews and their brother that stop by to spread joy and the occasional cold.

The Mowers in Fairmount Cemetery
I'm catching up on a few things and realized I don't believe I ever thanked you for your time and efforts tracking down the gravesites for Elvira, Emily, Sarah and Samuel Mower. Although I always hope for gravestones, I realize all too often many of our relatives are buried in unmarked graves. At least we know where they are. So thank you!!

Thanks for looking into this for me. Since her family was from Rockford, IL, she may be buried there.

RE: Priest & Grady locations & photos
Hi Val, and thanks again. Another favor, if you have time, please. As you can probably tell I'm trying to get as many of the Grady & Priest families into Find A Grave and linked as I can. One of the Grady daughters, Huntley, married Robert Chamberlain (1946~2009)(Find A Grave Memorial# 39378996 {it's not mine and there isn't a cemetery listed}) who was a pilot and died in a air show crash on July 4th 2009 after preforming in it. Would it be possible for you to see if he is also in Fairmount with his Grady in-laws? Thanks again, and if you need help in central Indiana, just ask. I'm just NW of Indianapolis, close to Fishers. Jim

Priest & Grady locations & photos
Hi "VDR", you sure are quick!! And thanks for all the work you do for Find A Grave, especially the Priest & Grady locations and photos of mine that you claimed. I didn't put a cemetery in for a Robert G Priest (Find A Grave Memorial# 171357874, added: Oct 16, 2016) but if not too much trouble, would you please see if he is in this same place as he was the son of the 2 other Priests? If so I'll add another request for you to fill. Thanks again, Jim-S. [46879912]
