In reference to photos I add to my memorial pages, you may use such photos but remember to give credit where credit is due and note that you found it on Find A Grave "courtesy of "phil r johnson". On the other hand, you do not have permission to take & re-post my photos from other websites, or those here on Find A Grave, under your name as if you were the photographer. I recognize my own photos.
It's not about "owning", it's about giving another person the credit for their time, expense and effort they went to, in order to collect & post info. for the benefit of those who are searching for their families. My family thanks you.

Genealogy Poem
Ain't this the truth !!

I started out calmly, tracing my tree,
To find if I could find the makings of me.
And all that I had was Great-grandfather's name,
not knowing his wife or from where he came.
I chased him across a long line of states,
And came up with pages and pages of dates.
When all put together, it made me forlorn,
Proved poor Great-grandpa had never been born.
One day I was sure the truth I had found,
Determined to turn this whole thing upside down.
I looked up the record of one Uncle John,
But then I found the old man to be younger than his son.
Then when my hopes were fast growing dim,
I came across records that must have been him.
The facts I collected made me quite sad,
Dear old Great grandfather was never a Dad.
I think someone is pulling my leg,
I am not at all sure I wasn't hatched from an egg.
After hundreds of dollars I've spent on my tree,
I can't help but wonder if I'm really me..

Chulahoma M.B. Cemetery
I'm doing some research on photos requested for memorials in Chulahoma M.B. Cemetery in Chulahoma, MS. I was wondering where you obtained the information that these folks (Bowens) were buried there. I checked with the original creator of the memorial "Anonymous" and they have their message center disabled. I have been contacted by a man named Wayne Bowen in California who is interested in obtaining photos of the graves of Robert, Christopher, Elmira, Isabella and Catherine Bowen. Do you have any info to share on these memorials??

Jay Newt Gordn
Hello, Jay Gordon was a family friend of my parents. My dad was an honorary pallbearer for his services. Currently there is no headstone placed for Mr. Gordon. I will keep your information and post a photo as soon as I see a stone has been placed. If you need any more information, please feel free to contact me.

RE: Carter
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner on you input to Amelia Jane (Carter) Keith. I am so glad that you did as I have been stumped on Amelia's side of the family. The information I have gotten about is a story my grandmother. The story has her marrying at least once before Henry C. Keith and having at least two children. I have had no names of her parents, siblings or where she came from. I have found the census' in the Red River, Texas area but was not sure if this was her. If you are interested in sharing information I would be very happy to share any that you would be interested in.
